Previously stating their plans to collaborate further with Bloober Team following the successful remake of Silent Hill 2 last year, Konami has now officially disclosed that this team will be reworking the original PS1 version of the game.
Today during the Konami Press Start livestream, it was announced that a remake of Silent Hill is in development, collaboratively created by Bloober Team. This was confirmed through the official Silent Hill Twitter account. The original game was launched for PlayStation back in 1999.
Although specific platforms and launch dates haven’t been announced yet, it’s highly likely that a PlayStation 5 version will be released. Since the project was unveiled with only a brief introduction and the statement that it’s in progress, it can be inferred that development is still in its early stages.
