The only roses Michelle Young is worrying about these days are in her bridal bouquet.
Without a doubt, the days when she exchanged or bestowed roses as symbols of love have passed her by, as the former Bachelorette alum has already wed Jack Leius in a charming, Minnesota-staged wedding on June 7th.
In a recent interview with People, published on June 12th, Michelle described their wedding as a rollercoaster of emotions that left them beaming from ear to ear. She added that no matter the outcome, the day would feel extraordinarily memorable. There were numerous joyful moments and amusing anecdotes along the way.
Michelle and Jack’s wedding ceremony and party happened inside spacious atriums with large glass walls, making the surrounding forest a significant part of the atmosphere. For this special day, Michelle chose a custom-made strapless gown by Anne Bare, while Jack selected a timeless black tuxedo from SuitShop.
When it came to selecting her gown, Michelle expressed, “I was captivated by its classic elegance and the diligent craftsmanship that went into creating a bespoke dress. The process involved numerous discussions and trips, but it ultimately became one of my most cherished experiences.
At the wedding, they opted for a spontaneous round of rock-paper-scissors at the altar to decide who would recite their vows first, symbolizing the lighthearted aspect that Jack admires about his new spouse, with whom he started dating in 2023.
The Vice President of the athletics company shared that they particularly admire Michelle for the charismatic presence she exudes. Her infectious grin, laughter, and overall captivating personality draw people in like a magnet. It’s been fascinating to observe her gracefully handle life with such self-assuredness.
It’s just as simple for Michelle, who became engaged to Nayte Olukoya on The Bachelorette in 2021 but later separated in the following year, to pay the compliment back.
Jack consistently finds positivity in people and is willing to bend over backward to aid others. At 32, it was shared that he’s an individual I feel comfortable disclosing anything to and enjoy sharing laughter with, no matter the activity. Without a doubt, he’s more than just a partner; he’s my confidant in mischief.
The remainder of the event featured a communal dining experience – Michelle explaining that it was to foster unity between our two families by enjoying a meal together. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, there was a selection of desserts including cheesecake, key lime pie, tiramisu, and butterscotch panna cotta on display.
Prior to their special event, Michelle and Jack shared that they had agreed to remain together throughout the entire evening.
According to Michelle, they aimed to make their day meaningful and mindful. It’s simple to become engrossed in the preparations and forget to live in the moment, so they purposefully set aside special moments for just the two of them.
