On this coming Friday, June 13th, 2025, Coronation Street will unveil a significant turn of events for the characters Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).
But naturally, there’s more drama on the way first!
On the 11th of June, Wednesday, Betsy, Lisa’s daughter (also known as Sydney Martin), discovered that she had been left uninformed about her deceased mother Becky, a law enforcement officer who lost her life in the line of duty.
Meanwhile, Lisa deceived Betsy by claiming the files she discovered pertained to her paternal lineage; however, Betsy covertly devised a plan to uncover the truth.
However, it became clear to both viewers and Carla as Lisa disclosed that Becky was under investigation for corruption – this revelation occurred around the time of Becky’s demise.
Lisa shared that she had challenged Becky over some claims, which Becky denied, leading to a heated argument between them.
Initially, Becky departed for work, and in her absence, Lisa became intoxicated and dozed off. When Lisa awoke, she learned that Becky had tragically passed away.
This past year, I stumbled upon clues that hinted at the tragic fate of Becky, allegedly orchestrated by Matty (Harry Lowbridge) and Logan Radcliffe (Seamus McGoff).
Later on, the duo was caught for brutally killing their sibling, Mason (Luca Toolan), and as the ITV soap progresses, Betsy finds solace with Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) as they pay a visit to Logan in prison.

The pair were eventually arrested for fatally stabbing their brother Mason (Luca Toolan). As time goes by in the ITV soap opera, Betsy is comforted by Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), and together they make a trip to see Logan behind bars.
Betsy asks Logan for answers about Becky, but will Logan be forthcoming?
In the meantime, taxi driver Steve McDonald, played by Simon Gregson, overhears Lisa and Carla talking about their assertion that Betsy supposedly planned to meet Dylan Wilson.
Steve explains that he has actually just dropped Betsy off at the prison. How will Lisa react?
