Transaction

The new ITV comedy series “Transaction” will hit screens this month, as the official air date has now been announced.

On Tuesday, the 24th of June, you can catch the premiere of Transaction on ITV2. After that, the entire six-episode series will be accessible on ITVX. Following this, a new episode will be broadcast each week on ITV2 as well.

The show is created by comedian Jordan Gray, who portrays Liv, and Nick Frost, known for his upcoming role as Hagrid in the forthcoming Harry Potter TV series, takes on the character of Simon.

The main characters are completed by Kayla Meikle (Beefy Linda), Francesca Mills (Millie), and Thomas Gray (Tom).

The plot of the show revolves around Simon, a supermarket manager, who gets into trouble with the LGBTQ+ community after a marketing strategy goes wrong.

As a supporter, I’d say he strives to demonstrate his inclusivity and honesty by recruiting Liv, a remarkable transgender woman, who certainly adds diversity to our team, yet there seems to be minimal focus on her skills or contributions beyond that aspect.

Liv’s lack of work ethic seems to have no impact on her job security. In fact, this appears to embolden her to cause disruption during the supermarket’s night shifts.”

This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language, emphasizing Liv’s behavior and its potential consequences rather than using terms like “wreak havoc” which can be perceived as too strong or dramatic.

The show is modeled after a 2020 miniseries created by Gray himself, consisting of six short five-minute segments that were debuted on Comedy Central’s YouTube platform.

Gray has played a part in The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk as well, however, her current TV role marks a significant breakthrough for her.

Simultaneously, Frost gained fame from starring in movies like Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, and the recent live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon.
