Beyoncé Celebrates Rumi, Sir Carter’s Birthday at Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé can get the world to stop in honor of her kids’ birthday.

The evidence for the success of the Cowboy Carter tour was evident in the crowd’s response during night four, held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on June 12. On this day, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children Rumi Carter and Sir Carter celebrated their eighth birthday. To honor their special day, Beyoncé ensured that the audience showered them with affection during her rendition of “Protector.”

In a touching moment, Beyoncé held little Rumi tightly as she sang to her, and then, before the crowd, Beyoncé, famously known as the “Dangerously in Love” singer, called out for everyone to wish Rumi a happy birthday. Afterward, Blue Ivy Carter, her oldest daughter at 13 years old, joined them on stage.

As the audience echoed the phrase, Rumi enthusiastically beckoned towards them, while her older sister affectionately stroked her chin. Even though he wasn’t performing alongside his sisters, Beyoncé ensured that her son felt the warmth by telling the crowd, “Say happy birthday, Sir,” followed by a heartfelt “I adore you.

Throughout their mother’s entire tour, both Rumi and Blue have graced the stage together. Notably, audiences have become captivated by Rumi’s heartfelt expressions that have truly shone in the song “Protector.

Regarding Blue, she initially performed on stage together with her mother during the 2022 Renaissance World Tour, and since then, she’s risen to the role of principal dancer, gracing the stage numerous times throughout the more than three-hour performance.

Beyoncé—who married Jay-Z in 2008—previously shared insight on life at home for the Carter family.

Caring for three children isn’t a walk in the park. As they grow older, each one develops their own distinct characteristics, preferences, and social circles,” Beyoncé shared with GQ in 2024. “My twins are truly blessings. Raising them has been an enlightening experience. It demands lots of reflection, perseverance, and faith. I cherish it; it keeps me humble and content.

A person with personal insight into the skills of Blue, Rumi, and Sir could be their grandmother Tina Knowles, as she has recently commended her grandchildren.

In March, the author of “Matriarch” shared with TopMob News, “Indeed, I’m incredibly proud of Rumi. Each of my grandkids, every one of them, is truly remarkable.
