Devil May Cry 5 Can’t Stop Selling, Now Tops 10 Million Units

6 years following its initial launch on PlayStation 4 in 2009, Devil May Cry 5 has surpassed 10 million copies sold.

This achievement is quite notable as the number of copies sold has increased by approximately 900,000 since March 31st, bringing the total up to around 10 million. Interestingly, it seems that this figure doesn’t account for the separate sales of the PS5 port of Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, which has also surpassed one million units sold.

The game has continued to sell well for an extended period due to strategic pricing deals and the debut of the latest Netflix-produced anime, leading it to reappear in sales rankings on platforms such as the PlayStation Store.

Due to its thrilling gameplay and marketing strategies aimed at boosting the brand’s visibility through means beyond just video games, such as TV adaptations, the game has surpassed 10 million units in global sales according to the company’s announcement.

It’s worth noting that this week, Sony announced its intention to utilize anime for promoting certain brand names too. Evidently, when executed effectively, this strategy can prove successful.
