Can we steal you for a sec?
Because the previous Bachelor, Sean Lowe, shares a heartwarming story about his children that, though not the most sensational, is sure to make you hug your own kids tighter.
He and his wife, Catherine Giudici Lowe, had recently attended their 5-year-old daughter Mia’s first dance recital. During the performance, Mia was adorably dressed as a tiny bumblebee, and her sweet dance moved him deeply. As he shared in an exclusive interview with TopMob News, “It tore my heart out, seeing her do the most precious little bumblebee dance.
Later on, they returned to their shared Dallas-area home with sons Samuel (8 years old) and Isaiah (7 years old). The children expressed a desire to go swimming in the backyard, which Sean agreed to. To entertain them, he switched on their outdoor television, searching for a movie. He ended up finding the 1991 romantic comedy starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Steve Martin.
I just watched Father of the Bride following an adorable performance,” the 41-year-old reminisced. “It’s Steve Martin portraying his daughter from childhood to maturity. The sight made me tear up. It felt like, ‘Wow, this phase is fleeting.’
In simpler terms, just as there’s always someone who spoils the fun at a party, afternoons like that one served as a harsh reality check for Nancy Meyers and Charles Shyer, reminding them how fleeting time truly is.
In reference to raising multiple young children, Sean admitted that it can be incredibly tiring. As we had three kids under 4 at the time, he agreed wholeheartedly with the saying, “The days drag on, but the years fly by,” which is certainly accurate.
He was not so far removed from the past when he found himself anxiously watching the clock, hoping nightfall would come sooner.
Sean confessed that when he thought about the end of his day, he wished to put his children to bed so he could unwind. However, with hindsight and a little more rest under his belt, he now reflects, “I wish I had truly appreciated those moments instead.” He acknowledged that those times were tough, but also realized they were only a brief phase of life. And once they’re over, they’re gone forever.
These days, he’s been diligently arranging special, individual moments for each of his children, recognizing their need for quality attention.
In their early days, focusing on nurturing, care, and storytelling was essential, explained the Texan about his transformation as a parent. Later, it evolved into assisting them in pursuing their own interests and aspirations.
In other words, it refers to his unsuccessful attempts to captivate the middle child, Isaiah, with stories about his time as a linebacker at Kansas State.
During matches at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, Sean shared, “I might mention something like, ‘Fun fact, Daddy played here too,’ and he often responds with a question such as, ‘So why didn’t you make it to the NFL?’
But no matter how snarky his squad might get, Sean is determined to be a permanent cheerleader.
As a fervent supporter, I can’t help but feel thrilled when I see one of my sons is passionate about football. Yet, I have another daughter and another son who may not lean towards sports just yet, or perhaps never will. Regardless, what are your passions, and how can I nurture and encourage you in those areas?
Should he need help coming up with a game plan, he has quite the MVP in his wife of 11 years.
Thinking too deeply about it makes me emotional, but from the start, I could tell that Catherine had an enormous heart,” he enthusiastically spoke of the graphic designer, aged 39. “I consider myself a compassionate individual, yet her degree of care and empathy outshines anything I can provide. Witnessing this was truly remarkable, especially when it came to how she loved me and cared for me. However, it was even more striking when we began having children, as she proved herself to be the most caring, loving, and nurturing mother.
Additionally, they often rely on help from their wider family, as Sean enthusiastically described his mother as an exceptional grandmother, “My mom, thank goodness, is just fantastic at being a grandma.” Whenever they can, they prefer to gather with their support group.
> From the instant you cradle your newborn in the hospital for the very first time, as Sean recounted his cherished moments of parenthood, right up to that nerve-wracking drive home, those sleepless nights lulling the baby to sleep, and their initial utterances, their first steps – it’s all so incredibly precious.
He acknowledged that the daily cycle of feeding, bathing, changing, and putting the baby to sleep can sometimes feel repetitive or dull. However, he pointed out, “it’s quite unique when you take a moment to reflect on it.” Despite being challenging, he suggested trying to find joy in each small phase of this experience.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but often pause and ponder about the journey that started it all for this former reality TV sensation and Catherine – tracing their tale back to its very roots.
Referring back to their season on ‘The Bachelor’ in 2013, he mentioned that they had expressed a desire to build a home filled with love and joy. And that’s exactly what they achieved. It’s fantastic to witness this dream becoming a reality.
Because the couple really are there to make friends with their children.
Sean remarked, “This house resonates with love and joy, all orchestrated by her alone.” He added, “It’s been truly awe-inspiring to witness her transformation into the incredible mother she has become.
Surely, he isn’t the sole Bachelor Nation member to experience love unfolding under the watchful eye of the camera. Let me introduce you to some other couples who continue to gaze at one another with unwavering affection.

On his first night at the Bachelor mansion, Grant Ellis may have encountered as many as 25 potential romantic partners, but in the end, Juliana Pasquarosa was the one who received his final rose. Regrettably, not even three months had passed since their proposal aired before they mutually decided to part ways.
Grant posted on his Instagram Story on June 13 that he found writing this particular message difficult, but felt it was important to be truthful. He and Juliana have decided to part ways in their relationship. Despite our best efforts and the love we had for each other, after many thoughtful discussions, we’ve realized that we’re not suitable for a lasting commitment.

In the finale of season 21 of “The Bachelorette”, it appeared that former contestant Jenn Tran, aged 26, was finding her happily ever after with her final choice, Devin Strader. However, in an interview following the finale in September, Jenn disclosed that Devin, also 28, abruptly distanced himself once the cameras were turned off.
During the September 3rd broadcast, Jenn shared with host Jesse Palmer that he had been expressing passionate declarations of affection one day, only to act indifferently the next and deny ever having felt love towards her. According to Jenn, all the promises and love he had assured her of were suddenly absent.
The events unfolded further as Devin posted a 13-minute video detailing his perspective on the situation on Instagram. Beyond accepting responsibility, he also provided context for why he chose to end the relationship during a 15-minute conversation over the phone.
In August, as I was attempting to share some difficult news in person, Jenn seemed to suspect something was amiss and pressed me about it over the phone. However, from my perspective, it was her inquiry that prompted the discussion which ultimately led to our parting ways.
He admitted that he wasn’t sure about any other options, implying he had been holding back, hoping to discuss it with her face-to-face. Essentially, she made him take action.
Ever since that moment, Jenn has made her way towards “Dancing with the Stars” and could have found herself smitten with her dance partner, Sasha Farber. They’ve been fueling romance speculation since their elimination on October 29th.
