Taylor Swift Surprises Patients at Florida Children’s Hospital

Taylor Swift is making wildest dreams come true.  

On June 12th, the artist famous for “Fortnight” visits Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. She spent time interacting with both kids and staff, and as a delightful surprise, she handed out signed copies of her book along with some heartwarming selfies!

On June 14th, the hospital posted on Instagram saying, ‘This was a day we’ll always remember, thanks to you, @taylorswift.’ They continued, expressing gratitude for Taylor’s visit to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. She turned what could have been an ordinary hospital day into one filled with joy, comfort, and connection.

Our patients and their families experienced warmth, and that enchantment will linger with them far beyond this day.

In the video shared within the post, Taylor unexpectedly greeted a patient named Zoe, leaving her utterly astonished.

Hi there! I’m your biggest fan, Taylor, and it’s truly an honor to be in your presence. Despite the challenges you’re facing, your positivity and friendliness are simply awe-inspiring. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” (Taylor Swift enters Zoe’s room and sits by her bed)

“I was wondering,” she added, “could I have a hug?”

In an upcoming video, I find myself, as a fervent admirer, stepping into another patient’s private space. Upon being graciously welcomed by Taylor and his loving family, the irresistible excitement within me bubbled over, and I couldn’t contain my enthusiasm any longer, blurting out, “Hold on, can I shout?

During her trip to the Florida hospital, the renowned “Karma” singer additionally stopped by for a private meeting with the hospital’s Head of Surgery, none other than Jill Whitehouse.

Without a doubt, one of the most compassionate individuals I’ve been fortunate to encounter,” Jill posted on Instagram June 14, accompanied by a picture of them. “Thank you, #taylorswift, for granting wishes for all our patients, families, and staff today!

Yesterday, following an evening out with her partner Travis Kelce at the NHL Stanley Cup final between the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers in Sunrise, Florida, the singer known for “Cruel Summer” made a surprise visit to a children’s hospital.

Meanwhile, snuggled within Amerant Bank Arena, this wasn’t their first time turning the entire venue radiant during a sporting event – just think back to the 2025 Super Bowl, where the Kansas City Chiefs experienced a significant defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Travis shared during an episode of the Stephen A. Smith Show in January, “Our relationship gives me confidence and comfort away from the field, and I have every support I need when I’m on the field.” He added, “A strong relationship allows you to focus on becoming the best version of yourself, by providing that support to excel at your craft.

The romantic tale between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kicked off in July 2023, as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

As a devoted fan of Taylor Swift, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs aimed to gift her a friendship bracelet with his number during the show. Yet, he was unable to make the throw because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis expressed his feelings on the July 26th episode of his New Heights podcast, saying he felt let down because she doesn’t speak before or after her performances as she needs to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. In other words, he felt a bit bummed out that he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he made for her since she didn’t have time to chat with him.

Following his on-stage blunder, which he’d later label as “rock solid” in hindsight, Travis boldly extended an invitation to the Grammy winner, proposing they attend the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium together.

He expressed on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation. Specifically, he said, “I challenged her to a performance, I suggested she come showcase her talent at Arrowhead Stadium, just as I have. Let’s wait and see if she accepts the challenge in the coming days.

I, Travis, sported a stylish mustache that made its grand entrance during our training camp back in August. When I was warmly welcomed by Taylor for the first time, this was the look I presented.

In his subsequent reflections, he acknowledged that during that period, “The mustache and the number 87 were quite iconic for a while, and I sported them when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been exchanging occasional texts and conversations.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I gladly accepted an invitation from Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, to join her at Arrowhead Stadium for the exciting match between him and the Chiefs against the Chicago Bears. Following the game, photos surfaced of me and Travis sharing some affectionate moments at a nearby bar.

Despite the belief that their face-to-face encounter was their first, the “Karma” singer later explained that they had actually spent quite a bit of time getting acquainted with each other prior to that meeting.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show that things were getting more serious, Taylor took along her friends such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski to watch the Chiefs compete against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

A notable indication that Travis might be “The One” for Taylor is their growing friendship not only during, but also beyond National Football League matches, with Brittany Mahomes – the spouse of Travis’ close friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes.

On October 14th, the couple unexpectedly made an appearance during the episode of Saturday Night Live. This New York City adventure for them encompassed attending the after-party for Saturday Night Live and having a special evening out at the Waverly Inn.

During his team’s bye week, Travis decided to journey to Argentina for the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL player get closer to Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, at the Nov. 11 concert in Buenos Aires, but he also received a special acknowledgment from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist of “Midnights” was spotted rushing towards Travis in the backstage area and enthusiastically planting a heartfelt kiss on him.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine, “I’m going to watch him pursue his passion, and we’ll be there for each other. There are others present, but we don’t mind.” In contrast, she explained, it requires a great deal of effort to ensure privacy when dating someone else.

 

On December 17th, the music sensation transformed Travis’ game into a bonding event for the whole family, inviting her father to root for her partner.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their first New Year’s Eve together, exchanging a loving kiss as the clock chimed at the stroke of midnight on January 1st.

During his seventh Eras tour concert, specifically at London’s Wembley Stadium, the NFL player made an appearance on stage alongside his girlfriend, supporting her during her rendition of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”.

Taylor attended the initial game of the 2024-25 season for the Chiefs alongside Travis. This recently-shared photo by Chariah Gordon seems to depict a recurrence of a public display of affection (PDA) reminiscent of October 2023, with Mecole Hardman, the Chiefs’ wide receiver, being her boyfriend in the picture.

The duo were present at the wedding of Karen Elson, who tied the knot with Lee Foster, the proprietor of Electric Lady Studios, held in the city of New York.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the final weekend of 2024, the duo enjoyed two consecutive outings in New York City. On each occasion, they coordinated their attire perfectly.
