The highly anticipated game “Borderlands 4” can now be pre-ordered! According to the publishers 2K and developers Gearbox Software, it will hit the shelves with three options: a standard version for $69.99, a Deluxe edition for $99.99, and a Super Deluxe edition for $129.99.
Prior to release, pre-ordering any version of the game grants you the “Luxurious Legacy Bundle,” containing a character skin for a Vault Hunter, a weapon skin, and a drone skin called ECHO-4.
2K and Gearbox Software have revealed their intentions to back up Borderlands 4 with an extensive plan for post-release content, both free and paid, which will be made available following the game’s debut. This includes the extra downloadable content that comes with the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions. Further details about this content will be disclosed at a later time.
Here is an overview of each edition, via 2K:
- Standard Edition ($69.99) – Includes the base game.

As a dedicated fan, I must say that the team at Gearbox has truly left me astonished with their ambitious plans for Borderlands 4. According to a press release from 2K president David Ismailer, this development team has crafted an exceptional AAA adventure that not only refines the gameplay and storytelling of the series but also maintains the core looter-shooter experience we all cherish.
Randy Pitchford, founder and president of Gearbox Software, expressed, “We are more thrilled than ever before about releasing Borderlands 4. This game offers an ideal starting point for newcomers, yet it’s also a heartfelt tribute to fans who have been loyal to the original series.
The fourth installment of the Borderlands series, “Borderlands 4,” will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) starting from October 12th, 2023. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to follow at a later date in the year 2025.
