My Hero Academia: All Class 1-A’s Official Hero Rankings After Time Skip (And What Changed)

In the manga “My Hero Academia,” created by Kohei Horikoshi, we follow heroes who maintain peace and prevent misuse of their superpowers, or Quirks. The public adores these champions, a sentiment reinforced through the Hero Billboard Chart, a system that ranks heroes based on their standing. Although every country has its own chart, the narrative mainly revolves around Japan’s, known as the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart. After the great war, it was expected that the chart would undergo significant changes, given the influential roles played by students from U.A. High School, particularly Class 1-A, in shaping a new world. However, in chapter 430, which fast forwards time and reveals their current circumstances, there’s no direct mention of hero rankings.

In the extra chapter of the last book in “My Hero Academia”, it’s explained that sixteen out of the twenty-one students from Class 1-A have now become official heroes. However, the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, is not on this list because he’s no longer an official hero. Instead, Koji Koda (Anima), Rikido Sato (Sugar Man), Yuga Aoyama (Can’t Stop Twinkling), and Hitoshi Shinsou (NightHide) were revealed to be sidekicks, with the latter not mentioned at all. This omission left fans feeling let down. But, in a surprising turn of events, a bonus chapter published on May 2, 2025, introduces a twist by adding Izuku back onto the list, while Bakugo achieves even greater heights once more.

17) Minoru Mineta

In an unexpected turn of events, it’s revealed that Minoru Mineta, often humorously referred to as the Grape Juice hero, has managed to secure a rank of 108th on the Japanese Hero Billboard Chart. This surprising revelation is made in the main chapter of “My Hero Academia,” and not in the recently published additional bonus chapter.

It’s possible that Mineta moved up in the rankings, given the change in society. This could be due to his comedic behavior becoming more important in the new rankings system, which might have been influenced by the aftermath of the final war.

16) Denki Kaminari

In the final chapter, Denki Kaminari, also known as the Sun Hero: Charge Bolt, is ranked 44th on the Hero Billboard Chart. Moreover, the story reveals that he’s thriving with his own hero agency situated right next to Kyoka Jiro’s.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but notice the subtle hints suggesting that the romantic bond between Denki and Jiro is gradually unfurling. Fans like me had long suspected this, and now with the hero society finding tranquility, there’s ample time for these two to delve deeper into their relationship. By the end of the final bonus chapter, it seems their connection might flourish even more beautifully.

15) Toru Hagakure

Title Character: The Invisible Stealth One – Toru Hagakure

In the climactic finale, Toru Hagakure ranks 39th among all heroes, a position that underscores her exceptional stealth abilities. It’s evident that her agency, with its clandestine operations, is likely focused on this very skill.

In the last part, it’s disclosed that Aoyama continues to work alongside her agency, potentially suggesting a deepening bond between them, perhaps even a romantic one, given their strong connection, particularly prior to the onset of the series’ climactic conflict.

14) Hanta Sero

Cellophane, stands at an impressive 36th position on Japan’s Hero Billboard Chart, as per the final chapter. Sero’s remarkable agility and lightning-fast speed likely contributed significantly to his high ranking among heroes nationwide.

In the last part, not much else is disclosed regarding Sero’s character, only his position; however, it’s plausible that he founded his own firm, focusing on apprehending criminals promptly. This action might boost his standing even higher if it hasn’t done so already.

13) Tsuyu Asui

According to recent rankings, The Rainy Season Hero, Froppy, stands at 33rd position on the HBJ. Interestingly, in the final chapter, it’s hinted that although Froppy doesn’t run her own agency, she collaborates with Uravity at their organization, which primarily aids children.

Similar to Urarity, Asui’s kind-hearted disposition could make her particularly appealing to kids, potentially contributing significantly to her popularity score. If a bonus chapter were to reveal her current ranking, it might show an even higher position given her increasing popularity among the younger audience.

12) Mashirao Ojiro

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but be captivated by the incredible Martial Arts Hero: Tailman, Mashirao Ojiro, who currently ranks 31st on the Hero Chart. While the final chapter offers scant details about him, his impressive ranking alone speaks volumes of his dedication and skill in martial arts. As a fellow enthusiast, I can only imagine that he has earned this spot through his unwavering respect for martial arts culture and his actions that embody its values and traditions.

If Ojiro doesn’t run his own agency, one could easily picture him starting a martial arts dojo instead, passing on his skills to others. With his advanced rank, it’s evident that Ojiro is thriving in his heroic career and following a passion he holds dear.

11) Kyoka Jiro

In the final chapter, it’s noted that Kyoka Jiro, also known as the Earphone Jack, ranks 30th on the HBJP. Additionally, we learn that she runs her own talent agency, which, as previously mentioned, is located near Kaminari’s agency.

In the last part of the story, there might have been hints suggesting her bond with Kaminari, yet it’s undeniable that her love for music grew significantly too – a deep-seated enthusiasm that also drew her closer to Eri, who is unveiled as a future performer in the additional final chapter.

10) Mina Ashido

In the top ten of Class 1-A students, we find Mina Ashido and Ridley Hero: Pinky. Mina Ashido holds the 28th position on the chart. Mina consistently motivates those around her to push on, even influencing her classmate Eijiro Kirishima to do the same. This inspiring demeanor is a significant reason why she currently ranks so high.

Mina Ashido and Ridley Hero: Pinky are among the top 10 students in Class 1-A. Mina Ashido, however, comes in at number 28 on the chart. Mina’s inspiring influence on her peers, including Eijiro Kirishima, is a key reason for her high standing in the class.

Or even more casually:

Mina Ashido and Ridley Hero: Pinky are among the top dogs in Class 1-A, but Mina’s at number 28 on the chart. She’s always inspiring others to keep going, like her buddy Eijiro Kirishima, which helps explain why she ranks so high.

In relation to that, although the latest hero rankings in the bonus chapter don’t specifically list Mina, there’s a strong possibility she could have advanced further, potentially even reaching the top 25 or even the top 20, considering her remarkable character and influence.

9) Ochaco Uraraka

In the captivating world of “My Hero Academia,” I find myself captivated by none other than Ochaco Uraraka, also known as Uravity, the 24th ranked hero on the HBJP! This young heroine has carved out her own path in the superhero community, establishing an agency dedicated to aiding children. Her decision to do so was significantly influenced by her encounters with my arch-nemesis, Himiko Toga. It’s inspiring to see how her past experiences have shaped her into a beacon of hope for many!

The organization she works for helps kids learn about their unique traits and develop into their optimal versions. She’s well-liked by children, and given her leadership role in an agency making a positive impact, Uraraka’s reputation is likely to keep improving, assuming it isn’t at its peak already.

8) Momo Yaoyorozu

As an observer, I note that Momo Yaoyorozu, famously known as Creati, ranks 19th on the Hero Chart – a testament to her status among the top 20 heroes. Although the series finale didn’t disclose her recent heroic efforts, it’s evident that her extraordinary and versatile Quirk makes her an invaluable asset within U.A.’s roster of superheroes.

It’s quite possible that she has established her own innovation agency by now, focusing on creating groundbreaking solutions for the hero community, which proves to be financially rewarding given that people without powers, like Deku, can still become heroes in this world.

7) Fumikage Tokoyami

As an avid fan, I can’t help but express my admiration for Tsukuyomi, Tokoyami, who proudly holds the 17th spot on the hero chart, as revealed in the series finale. Throughout our time together at Class 1-A, Tokoyami has consistently demonstrated his immense strength, and his role in the final battle was so powerful it left even All For One in awe! It’s no wonder he ranks so high among the heroes.

It’s quite possible that his influence during the time jump significantly strengthened hero society, as he successfully took down powerful villains causing chaos. Given his strong connection with Hawks towards the end of the series, it seems reasonable to assume that he might be managing Hawks’ agency or playing a significant role in it, unless he has his own agency instead.

6) Tenya Ida

Tenya Iida, also known as Turbo Hero: Ingenium, was previously ranked 13th in the HBJP. Given recent adjustments that see Deku and Bakugo climbing higher, it’s possible that Tenya’s position may have shifted. Nevertheless, it seems unlikely he would fall below a top 15 spot.

Tenya is exceptionally active among heroes, primarily because of his exceptional speed which aids him in apprehending villains more swiftly. It’s uncertain if he operates independently, but it seems plausible that he could be employed at his brother’s agency. Given his admiration for his brother and his determination to emulate him, there’s a strong possibility he may even hold the position of the new head.

5) Eijiro Kirishima

Eijiro Kirishima, the Resilient Hero known as Red Riot, was previously placed 12th in the rankings, just ahead of Tenya Iida. However, similar to how Iida’s position might change, Kirishima’s may also move up or down, given his recent foray into a solo career.

Kirishima exemplifies knightly behavior through his unique ability, a trait that has undoubtedly won him a large fanbase who admire both his masculinity and determination. He’s one of the most successful characters from the series, and if there were an additional chapter to determine rankings (like the HBJP chart), it’s probable that his position, along with Deku and Bakugo, would have moved up significantly higher.

4) Mezo Shoji

Among the top 10 ranked students, Tentacole Shoji held the 9th position. However, a recent shift might have demoted him slightly, as Deku and Bakugo appear to be advancing in their ranks.

Shoji played a crucial role in the final conflict, promoting societal transformation by fostering more accepting attitudes towards individuals with diverse physical forms, often referred to as heteromorphs. Given his influential position within this community, it’s logical that many people would support him (assuming there’s a system for selecting leaders) because of the representation he provides and the optimism he brings.

3) Katsuki Bakugo

Known as one of the leading three students in Class 1-A, the hero known as Explosive Hero: Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight (Bakugo), has undergone a rank shift that now places him fifth on the hero list. This marks the third time Bakugo’s rank has been altered; his initial position was fourth, and prior to this most recent adjustment, he stood at the 15th spot.

It emerged that he had fallen from a prestigious position because of his lack of popularity among fans, which amusingly aligns with his persona. However, recent developments might indicate that fans are now finding him more endearing. At the moment, he ranks third lowest, but his initial rank indicates he was previously above Deku and Shoto, hinting at potential future growth for him.

2) Izuku Midoriya

At the end of the comic series My Hero Academia, it was stated that Izuku hadn’t earned any rank yet since he was just commencing his heroic career with backup systems in place. But once he officially became a hero, he was warmly received and recognized with a 4th rank on the Hero Register, which unveiled his complete hero name as One For All Hero: Deku.

Fans were eager to see Deku achieve his rank, but it was left out for obvious reasons in the original story. The bonus chapter appears to have been added to rectify this omission and demonstrate Deku’s rightful position in society, which he played a significant role in creating. Now, Deku balances his life as both a hero and a teacher, and while it remains uncertain if his rank can rise higher, there is a possibility that it might considering the numerous factors now being considered during hero rankings.

1) Shoto Todoroki

In the concluding installment of “My Hero Academia,” found within the last volume, I witnessed a joyous assembly of Class 1-A, congregating to honor Shoto’s latest achievement – his promotion to the number two spot on the Hero Billboard Chart, just below Togata Mirio. Remarkably, even in this closing bonus chapter, it was hinted that both Togata Mirio and Shoto retained their positions, while Bakugo and Deku received new rankings, elevating them to the top five.

Shoto’s position as the leading hero among his peers is deserved, given his consistent display of immense power and maturity. Notably, Shoto’s rise was anticipated due to his lineage as the son of a previous top-ranked hero. After the time skip, most students from Class 1-A have positions on the Hero Billboard Chart, indicating that Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia had a satisfying conclusion, with each character receiving a peaceful and fitting role following their hardships.

My Hero Academia can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
