In response to the leader of their organization being placed under a mysterious sleep by sorcery, Kaulder and the successor, the 37th “Dolan,” embark on a quest to track down the sorceress responsible and end her life. Along the way, they encounter other witches and employ a charm that allows Kaulder to recall his extensive past. This memory journey uncovers that the ancient Witch Queen may still be able to return. The climax of their struggle against the Queen results in her physical form being annihilated, but her heart persists. In the end, Kaulder, the reincarnated Dolan (played by Michael Caine), and their comrade, Chloe (portrayed by Rose Leslie), join forces to create a new alliance.
