Chris Martin is taking his newfound single status in stride.
On June 16th, the lead singer of Coldplay was spotted casually walking around New York City, marking his first public outing since news about his split with Dakota Johnson became public.
On the outing, Chris – aged 48 – chose a darker style, donning a black T-shirt and trousers alongside a dark blazer and aviator shades. His son Moses Martin, who is 19, joined him on this stroll; they share custody of Moses, with Gwyneth Paltrow being his other parent. (The pair also co-parent their 21-year-old daughter, Apple Martin.)
Rumors about Chris parting ways with Dakota, age 35, emerged earlier this month, but neither has spoken publicly about the separation. They were first connected romantically in 2017 and were last spotted leaving a yoga studio together in May.
Indeed, the singer of “Something Just Like This” stood by his partner throughout their journey, right up until the end. He even encouraged fans to watch her latest romantic comedy that features Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans in leading roles.
In the last moments of Coldplay’s June 1st concert in Stanford, California, he expressed his gratitude to everyone present: “I appreciate you all so much,” he said, “Be gentle with yourselves, be gentle with one another. And remember to catch the show ‘Materialists’!
Meanwhile, as Chris guides his son through a fresh phase of life, it appears that Dakota has discovered companionship in a furry ally: her recently rescued puppy named Tokyo.
On a recent episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, I shared my heartwarming story about adopting a wonderful companion on June 10th. It wasn’t part of any plans I had, but she found her way into my life from the Santa Barbara pound, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this unexpected turn of events.
In her first appearance outside Dakota’s home, the newest family member was quite curious, exploring the audio-video gear spread across the recording studio.
The actress playfully commented as Tokyo examined her advanced setup, ‘I guess you could say I’m a performer.’ In reality, she’s usually shy and prefers to stay hidden. But on camera, she transforms! She seems so much more confident. It’s like she’s saying, ‘Look at me now.’

Rumors about a potential romance between Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have been swirling! After attending a Coldplay concert together, fans began to wonder if they might be an item. Although neither of them acknowledged the relationship for quite some time, further encounters hinted at a deeper connection beyond friendship.
At SIR Studios, the couple was seen together during Stella McCartney’s Women’s Autumn 2018 and Men’s Autumn/Winter 2018 Collection launch event. They were holding hands, which added to the evidence that they were in a romantic relationship, delighting their fans.
Love comes first, followed by ink artistry perhaps? The actress from Fifty Shades and the Coldplay vocalist seemed to flaunt matching infinity tattoos.
In an interview for Tatler, Dakota subtly acknowledged her relationship with Chris by saying, “I won’t discuss it, but I will tell you that I am truly content.
Following Chris’s act of kindness by assisting Dakota at her glamorous 30th birthday bash in October, the actress reciprocated when it came to her boyfriend’s performance on Saturday Night Live. The duo commemorated this special event by attending the official post-party together.
I had the privilege of stepping into the director’s role for Coldplay’s “Cry, Cry, Cry” music video. In this moving narrative, a couple is portrayed as they face life’s challenges together, standing strong and supporting one another during their moments of tears.
According to a reliable source who spoke with TopMob News, it’s been confirmed that the actress from High Note and the lead singer of Coldplay have bought a stylishly modern Cape Cod-inspired house in Malibu, California, for a total cost of $12.5 million.
Over their summer vacation, the pair embarked on a trip to Palma De Mallorca, Spain. There, they reveled in a boat excursion and city tours within the urban area.
Before starting to perform Coldplay’s recent single “My Universe,” featuring BTS, Chris signaled towards Dakota seated in the balcony and shared a heartfelt message with the audience. “This song is about my universe, and she’s right here,” he expressed.
We want something just like this duo’s outing to grab coffee in Malibu.
