Brad Pitt Reveals His One Condition for Doing a Movie With Tom Cruise

Brad Pitt’s first rule of action movies: They must stay on the ground.

In many action movies during his acting tenure, the F1 star prefers to collaborate with Tom Cruise only under one specific term.

Brad made it clear during an exclusive interview with TopMob News, which aired on June 12, that he wouldn’t be engaging in such reckless behavior as hanging off an airplane. He jokingly added that he would work with his Interview With the Vampire costar again only when the latter does something notable on solid ground.

Despite not personally performing the stunts that Tom Cruise executed in the Mission: Impossible series, the actor from Mr. & Mrs. Smith holds immense respect for his fellow performer. While they were filming their 1994 vampire movie together, they would often race go-karts against each other.

“He got me in the end,” Brad said of their playful competitions. “I gotta admit.”

Not only does Tom reciprocate the respect, but it’s clear that they share a mutual admiration. For instance, Tom expressed his enthusiasm for Brad’s Formula 1 movie earlier this year and even referred to the Fight Club actor as his “friend” during discussions about their go-kart competition.

During a Paramount panel in April, as reported by CinemaBlend, the actor from Jerry Maguire expressed that it’s impressive to witness Brad driving. He mentioned that Brad is quite skilled behind the wheel and added that he has personally competed against him in races.

Besides his unique rules for stunts, Brad also maintained specific rituals during the filming of F1, which added to his overall superstitious behavior on set. (aged 61)

In a conversation with TopMob, Brad shared his OCD habits: “Every time I enter a car, I need to sit on the left side,” he explained. “When I’m putting on my shoes or gloves, it’s always the left one first.

Even as he was securing himself into the seat, Brad paid attention to which side of the belt the crew would begin fastening first.

“The guys knew they had to do left first,” he explained. “If they didn’t, we had to start over.”

The movie F1 will start showing in cinemas on June 27. Here are some other thrilling films set to release this summer for your viewing pleasure.
