Tonight, on Monday Night Raw, it was I who stepped back into the ring as a legendary figure – none other than Goldberg himself. For quite some time, whispers had been circulating about my return to WWE, and tonight, those rumors became reality. With no delay, I engaged my opponent for what seems to be my final wrestling bout.
Following Goldberg’s performance on Raw, WWE had merchandise prepared for promotion, and it’s all being marketed as Goldberg’s Farewell Tour. It appears that the Ring General Gunther is set to be his final opponent in this send-off event.
Gunther was basking in the glory of his victory over Jey Uso, acknowledging his opponent’s skills. He proceeded to discuss his future and the Heavyweight Championship he now held, but when the crowd called for Jey, Gunther essentially shrugged off the idea. Instead, Gunther challenged Seth Rollins, yet it was someone else who emerged in the ring to face him.
Goldberg didn’t seem too taken aback, instead he complimented Gunther first before revealing the purpose of his visit. “Don’t worry, Gunther, there’s no need to be puzzled – tonight is all about you! Tonight, I’ve come to honor you. I can only imagine how proud you must feel, so let me extend my warm congratulations. I merely wanted to acknowledge this evening and express how impressed I am by your achievements,” Goldberg expressed.

Goldberg made a statement before leaving: “There’s just one point I want to address now. A few months ago, you initiated something with me and my family in Atlanta, Georgia,” he said. “I will ensure that this is concluded in Atlanta, Georgia. The Saturday Night Main Event on June 12th will be yours… but only because it’s your turn next!
After the official confirmation, Goldberg will battle Gunther during Saturday Night’s Main Event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It’s uncertain if he’ll claim the title, but if he receives significant screen time on Raw leading up to the match and their rivalry concludes with a well-executed bout at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it could pave the way for an impressive stint.

With someone as unpredictable as Goldberg, there’s always a possibility he might claim the title and cut short Gunther’s reign prematurely. This was demonstrated in the match between Gunther and Jey Uso, where Gunther’s reign ended sooner than anticipated. If the title is to be passed around unexpectedly, having Goldberg win it would definitely come as a surprise (although not entirely implausible). While I personally don’t believe this will happen, I also can’t say with absolute certainty that it won’t.
