Resident Evil Village Guide: All Collectibles
In Resident Evil Village, there are a total of 20 hidden items for you to discover. Unfortunately, there’s no real-time tracking system within the game story itself to show how many you’ve found. However, once you finish the game, the Challenges menu becomes accessible, where it will display the number of collectibles you’ve gathered, but won’t tell you which ones are still missing. To guarantee that you locate all the collectibles during a single playthrough, it’s best to follow a guide like this one.
- Goats of Warding are small, wooden figurines in the shape of goats that are hidden throughout the game. They are generally quite hard to find. Without the help found in this guide, you’re not likely to spot them. In order to register each one as found, you must shoot them with a gun. They make a faint sound as you draw near to them as their head rocks back and forth.
In Resident Evil Village, various areas hold numerous collectibles scattered throughout the game. Here’s a comprehensive walkthrough to help you find all of the Resident Evil Village collectibles as you progress through the story in their sequential order.

Resident Evil Village Guide: Tips and Tricks for Beginners
In the game Resident Evil Village, if you’ve already played its predecessor and know Ethan Winters, then this new journey may feel quite familiar. But don’t let that fool you – here are some essential tips and strategies we suggest for all players, regardless of your experience level, to ensure you’re well-prepared for the challenges ahead. Keep reading!
Don’t Waste Your Ammo on Livestock
To obtain permanent improvements at The Duke’s Kitchen, you should catch animals like pigs, goats, and chickens in this region instead of shooting them, as ammunition is scarce in the game. Using your knife, you can chase these animals and kill them with a few swipes. Although bigger creatures may take more attempts, it will save your bullets and you’ll end up with Fish, Meat, or Poultry as rewards.
Shoot the Birdcages Hanging Above You
It might seem like the ornamental birdcages suspended in some areas are merely for aesthetic purposes, but they actually contain items that can aid you in your progress. Firing at one will cause it to fall and provide you with an item such as Lei for buying upgrades, Gunpowder for crafting ammunition, or other useful items. However, it is essential to note that the birdcages do not hold anything crucial to your quest, but the item you receive will always make the bullet spent worthwhile.
Use the Map to Your Advantage
Pressing the Touch Pad button will display a map showing places you’ve explored thus far. Utilize its features to maximize your progress. If an area appears red, it signifies that there is yet-to-be discovered loot present. On the other hand, if an area shows up as blue, it means all available items in that location have already been collected. Keep in mind that these colors do not include collectibles; however, they will indicate whether you’ve gathered all useful objects within a specific area by just tapping the Touch Pad.
Look Out for Yellow Tape
As I wander through the village and its environs, always stay alert for anything that’s a vibrant shade of yellow – be it tape or paint. If you spot it, it’s either a sign for interaction or a place to use an item. Yellow tape often marks boxes that can be smashed open for loot, while yellow paint signals objects that can be combined with items in your inventory. The Well Wheel and the Crank are particularly worth noting as they provide access to fresh areas and hidden goods when used correctly.
Don’t Sell All Treasures Immediately
In most instances, treasures you discover can be given directly to the Duke for Lei, but remember to inspect their descriptions first. Most will be labeled as ‘Valuable’ or ‘Very Valuable,’ but some may indicate they are ‘Combinable.’ This suggests there is another treasure somewhere that can be combined with yours, increasing its worth in Lei significantly. Often, these combinable treasures will be easy to identify because they’ll be categorized as either a ‘Body’ or ‘Shaft,’ signaling there’s a matching piece elsewhere.
Check Out the Extra Content Shop After Beating the Game
Once you’ve wrapped up your initial adventure, you’ll find yourself with access to the Extra Content Shop nestled within the Bonuses section. Here, you can swap your hard-earned points (CP) for a variety of goodies. Expect to find The Mercenaries game mode, an assortment of fresh weapons, unlimited ammo upgrades for your arsenal, as well as concept art and figurines. Each item comes with its own price tag, so you should have a decent stash of CP to snag a few treats right off the bat after conquering the game once. Curious about how to accumulate more CP for even more unlocks? Simply navigate to the Challenges tab within the Bonuses menu.
