Demon Slayer Announces New Movie Ahead of Infinity Castle Release

In July, “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is set to premiere in Japanese theaters, with a planned North American release coming this autumn. Interestingly enough, the characters from “Demon Slayer” and their team will grace our screens once more before the first film of the trilogy debuts. To prepare fans for the upcoming anime movie and to instill proper theater etiquette, Ufotable has produced a fresh anime short that will be shown prior to the resumption of the battle against Muzan. Fortunately, although this film may only be available in Japan at the moment, a new trailer showcasing the latest animation has been unveiled.

Ufotable collaborates with Toho Cinemas to produce a fresh short film featuring Tengen Uzui, the Sound Hashira, and his wives, who will impart “cinema etiquette.” Given that Demon Slayer: Mugen Train continues to hold the record as the highest-grossing film ever, with subsequent compilation films also raking in substantial earnings at the box office, it seems strategically sound to guide newcomers on how best to attend the theater to catch a glimpse of the Demon Slayer Corps’ beginning and potential end. The short film will debut this week in Japan, starting from June 20th; although there’s no confirmation yet for a Western release, we anticipate it may be distributed at some point. You can watch the trailer for this “cinema etiquette” short below.

The Demon Slayer Corps’ Swan Song

In our previous encounter with Tanjiro and his comrades during the Swordsmith Village storyline, things had escalated dramatically for the Demon Slayer Corps. Facing off against Muzan, Kagaya Ubuyashiki and his family were put in grave danger. In an unexpected move, the head of the Hashira gave up his life along with that of his family, using this sacrifice as a means to attack Muzan. Fortunately, this selfless act allowed the other Hashira members to intervene, doing their utmost to bring down Muzan.

As an ardent fan, I must say that unlike any foe our heroes have encountered before, the Demon Lord is truly extraordinary. Unlike most demons, Muzan appears to be virtually indestructible through conventional methods – even something as drastic as decapitation fails to end him. The only way to defeat this formidable adversary is by sunlight, which makes him almost invincible, posing a significant challenge for the Hashira.

With the upcoming Infinity Castle being the first of three, prepare yourself for some epic showdowns. Our beloved Demon Slayer Corps is determined to annihilate this demonic menace once and for all, so brace yourselves for battles that could reshape their world!

Fans living in North America who are eager to catch the initial movie of the final trilogy, titled Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, can look forward to its release in Western cinemas on September 12th this autumn. Given the impressive box office performance of previous Demon Slayer films in America, anticipate a strong opening weekend for the brand-new film.
