That Time A Supernatural Guest Star’s Mom Humorously Flirted With Jensen Ackles On Set

As Supernatural concluded its 15-season journey, The CW show had amassed an impressive roster of guest stars, resulting in some remarkable scenes that significantly impacted both the characters and the plot. Being a guest star on SPN often meant sharing a scene or two with actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, which was certainly a bonus for actress Aimee Garcia, whose mother fondly recalled her attempting to flirt with Ackles in a humorous anecdote.

Garcia gained fame for her character on the show ‘Lucifer’, and is currently starring in ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ which is available on Paramount+. However, she also made a guest appearance on ‘Supernatural’ as far back as 2008. In Season 3 Episode 12, titled “Jus in Bello,” she played a secretary at a police station. Despite this episode being filmed almost two decades ago, she remembers it vividly. In an interview with TV Insider, the actress reminisced about her parents visiting the set and her mother flirting shamelessly with Ackles (I can’t blame her either). According to Garcia:

In a fun twist, I had an amazing time hanging out with that group. Incidentally, my parents dropped by the set, and I recall my mother rather boldly flirting with Jensen in front of my dad. She’s not native to English, so she said something like, “Oh, Jensen, you have gum before they start filming, right? And then they say ‘action.’ And then where does the gum disappear? I don’t see it while you’re acting.” To which I replied, “Mom, you can’t flirt with Jensen!

It’s hard to decide which is more surprising: Garcia’s mother flirting with Ackles, or doing so in front of her husband and child. The allure of Ackles is undeniable, even for mothers, and it’s amusing to imagine the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Fortunately, the banter didn’t cause any problems, and now Garcia has a humorous anecdote to share for years to come. It’s intriguing to think if Ackles might recall that incident, considering it’s quite possible that Garcia’s mother wasn’t the only parent who playfully flirted with him on set.

Despite the passage of many years, Jensen Ackles continues to keep fans guessing. With the release of his upcoming Prime Video series Countdown just around the corner this month, there’s been quite a bit of excitement among fans about his new character. The Supernatural family has been setting social media ablaze with comments praising his appearance, and some even drew comparisons between his new role and Dean Winchester. It seems that everyone is captivated by him.

Fans won’t only find Jared Padalecki in supernatural or countdown shows; he is also set to appear as Soldier Boy in the fifth and final season of The Boys, as well as in the upcoming prequel series Vought Rising. Moreover, he has made guest appearances on Tracker as Russell Shaw, Justin Hartley’s brother Colter. Since Season 3 of CBS drama Tracker has been commissioned, there’s a chance that Russell may return provided Jared’s busy schedule allows it.

Despite Aimee Garcia’s mom not overtly flirting with Ackles in the show, viewers can still appreciate her appearance by watching her episode and all 15 seasons of Supernatural, which is available with a Netflix subscription.
