Yet, speculation about a strained relationship between the former Disney star and the performer on the Eras Tour persists, with fresh fuel added when a Taylor Swift fan posted a video on YouTube on June 17. In this video, an employee from Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe claimed that during Olivia Rodrigo’s visit in 2023, the cafe had promised to conceal any signs of Taylor Swift, stating, “we support the girls.

2005 saw Taylor Swift being discovered at the Bluebird Cafe, a renowned platform for songwriters in Nashville, by Scott Borchetta, the founder of Big Machine Records. This discovery sparked a divide among the pop stars’ fanbases online.

Despite the claim made by the employee in the previously mentioned video, Erika Wollam Nichols, General Manager at Bluebird, later corrected the statement. In a video released on June 18th, she clarified that neither Olivia’s team nor anyone else asked them to remove an image of Taylor Swift. “Nobody did,” she asserted.

In simpler terms, Nichols shared that during Olivia’s show at the café in 2023, images of Swift and other artists like Sheryl Crow were taken out from the Bluebird presentation, because they had issues with copyright.

Since we don’t have rights to those pictures, we can’t allow them to be used in any broadcast. That’s the main reason they were taken down where they were displayed. Our employee may not have fully grasped why the image was removed, and they spoke casually about it, perhaps trying to make a joke out of the situation.

Afterward, she stressed that the Bluebird didn’t delete the picture due to any rumored disagreement between Swift and Rodrigo.

She clarified, “This wasn’t a rivalry between two artists. Instead, we value all musicians equally, including songwriters, and strive to share success fairly. Taylor is a dear friend to us at the Bluebird, and we hold her in the highest respect. It was an honor to host Olivia. I want to emphasize that both artists are held in very high esteem by us.

Earlier, Rodrigo clarified that she didn’t write “Vampire” or any other song about her strained friendship with Swift. (It was revealed in July 2021, four months after the song’s release, that Rodrigo shared a songwriting credit on “Deja Vu” with Swift, and they have not publicly engaged since then.)

She shared with The Guardian in 2023 that she was quite taken aback by the assumptions regarding her songs. To clarify, she has always refrained from disclosing who her songs are about – something she’s never done before in her professional journey and likely won’t start now. In her opinion, it’s more appropriate to not restrict a song to being only about one particular thing.

Regarding any ill feelings towards Swift?
