The game development studio known for creating highly acclaimed puzzle-adventure games, Cyan Worlds, is about to launch its newest game on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in the near future.
On July 2nd, 2025, the creators of Myst and Riven are set to release Firmament for Sony’s consoles, offering the choice to utilize PSVR2 compatibility if playing on a PlayStation 5.
Originally launched as a Kickstarter project in 2019, the game will be available for PlayStation users two years later than its PC release, which was in 2023. Now, after some waiting, it’s set to arrive on PlayStation consoles within just a fortnight.
Title “Firmament” is a first-person puzzle game similar to Cyan’s past creations, offering an engaging environment for exploration while challenging your problem-solving skills with numerous environmental riddles.
Feedback on the computer version of the game was somewhat divided; it garnered a Metascore of 68, with many reviewers appreciating its stunning landscapes and intriguing puzzles, yet expressing less enthusiasm for the storyline.
