It’s not a hidden fact that Danny Boyle initially planned to helm Daniel Craig’s last James Bond film, No Time to Die, but left due to artistic disagreements. Lately, there has been much speculation about whether he might rejoin the series and give another shot at directing the legendary franchise.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Boyle, presently marketing his upcoming zombie film sequel titled “28 Years Later,” seems to have dismissed any possibilities related to it by stating, “That opportunity has passed.
In a more recent conversation, he seemed slightly less convinced about not having a chance to star in a Bond movie, hinting at a well-known James Bond film title along the way.
He replied, “It’s unwise to make absolute statements like ‘never.’ Nobody should do that.
He mentioned, “Although we gave it our all, we weren’t able to figure out a balanced solution, so we chose to go our separate ways, wishing the best for each other. I think it’s best to leave things as they are for now, but remember, ‘You can never rule out possibilities.’

Although it’s not definitive that the director will return to the James Bond universe, if the perfect conditions arise, there remains a possibility that we might witness a Bond film directed by Boyle in the future.
Previously, Boyle admitted that one thing he regretted about departing the project was that “the script was exceptionally well-written,” further praising John Hodge, stating that he’s an exceptional writer.

Although there’s no officially announced director or actor for Bond 26 as of now, recent progress suggests that production on the movie is underway in London, with David Heyman and Amy Pascal collaborating on the project.
At CinemaCon, the head of film, streaming, and theatrical for Amazon MGM, Courtenay Valenti, stated: “We aim to uphold the esteemed history of this legendary character, while offering a thrilling, innovative continuation worldwide, in partnership with Amy and David.
Amy and David are currently setting up shop in London and unfortunately can’t make it tonight, but we want to express our gratitude in advance for what promises to be a remarkable collaboration. A big ‘thank you’ to both of them!
