In the television series “Murder Most Puzzling”, Phyllis Logan from “Downton Abbey” trades her role as a housekeeper for that of a detective, delving into mysteries in a six-episode run inspired by Parnell Hall’s popular cozy crime novels titled “The Puzzle Lady”.
In the show “Logan,” the protagonist, Cora Felton, or the enigmatic Puzzle Woman, is renowned throughout the region for her intricate crossword challenges.
When an unsolved puzzle is discovered along with a corpse unearthed in a cemetery, they seek her assistance to crack the case.
However, it’s not as Cora presents herself; she’s hiding something. As she immerses herself in a perplexing murder mystery that leaves the townspeople puzzled, she manages to attract both allies and adversaries in the process.
It seems possible that they feel a hint of envy towards her because she often excels at problem-solving, especially when it comes to solving crimes. Initially, she begins modestly, but quickly becomes fully immersed, making it seem like crime-solving is her natural talent.
With Logan, the cast also features several well-known actors, as well as some newcomers who may be less familiar to you.
