Comic-Con in San Diego is just about to roll around, which means it’s almost time for the anticipation of unique collectibles and toys that will be on offer at the grand event. There’s always something enticing to consider adding to your wishlist during Comic-Con, and Mattel has recently unveiled their first batch of major exclusives featuring two of their most sought-after franchises. The initial collection focuses on an ensemble of women characters, boasting a beloved figure from Monster High, a thrilling crossover between Monster High and horror themes, and a fresh release for Hot Wheels’ Mario Kart series.
Twice in the initial launch, Monster High is set to appear, with Mattel introducing the Sweet Screams Twyla Figure. This figure will don a dress inspired by cotton candy, accessorized with items dipped in syrup, and accompanied by her cute bunny friend Dustin, who also carries the sweet scent of cotton candy. Additionally, there’s an exciting crossover, the Monster High Skullector Elvira Figure, that seems like a perfect match. The Mistress of the Dark fits seamlessly into her Monster High-themed design, and you can find more pictures of this exclusive below.
As a gamer, I’m not just adding Monster High characters to my collection, but also grabbing the Hot Wheels Mario Kart Pauline! She’ll be sporting her iconic red dress and black heels while speeding in her Badwagon die-cast, making her a perfect fit for any Mario Kart enthusiast’s collection. Super Mario Odyssey fans, rejoice!
Nick Karamanos, senior vice president of Mattel Creations & Entertainment Partnerships, stated that this assortment of collectibles celebrates brave, stylish, and adored female characters who consistently shatter barriers,” he said. “Ranging from gothic elegance to gaming legends, these collectibles pay tribute to the beloved heroines hailing from the franchises cherished by our fans.
