New ‘Alice in Wonderland’ Anime Film Unveils Stunning Key Visual Ahead of Summer Premiere

Although there have been numerous interpretations of this tale in anime and manga, such as Alice SOS from J.C. Staff, this is the first time an anime film has been directly based on the book. The official account for the upcoming “Alice in Wonderland” anime film, previously known as Twitter, has revealed a fresh key visual prior to its summer debut, along with details about the opening theme song. Originally announced in January, this movie is set to hit Japanese theaters on August 19th, 2025. According to Lewis Carroll’s novel, the film centers around a character named Rise, a university student who struggles with feelings of failure and self-doubt. After receiving an invitation from her deceased grandmother, she journeys into Wonderland, a surreal and whimsical realm. In this enchanting world, she crosses paths with Alice, a young girl, and they embark on a journey filled with various peculiar characters like The White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Queen of Hearts, the Card Soldiers, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and numerous others.
