Another Branning family member is set to make his return to EastEnders in the coming weeks.
After many rumors swirling on the internet, it’s officially announced by BBC One’s soap opera that the character Oscar Branning, son of Max Branning (played by Jake Wood) and Tanya Cross (portrayed by Jo Joyner), will be making a comeback to Walford.
In 2007, during a well-known love triangle involving Max and his daughter-in-law, Stacey Slater (portrayed by Lacey Turner), Oscar was born. This dramatic relationship twist was dramatically revealed on Christmas Day of that same year.
Previously, the character was observed spending time with Max during Father’s Day in 2017 when she was still a child. Since then, she has not been seen around Albert Square, as she has moved out and resides elsewhere with her mother, Tanya, following their separation from Max.
Soon, it’s revealed that Oscar is set to reappear in Walford, following an unforeseen telephone conversation between him and his elder sibling, Lauren Branning, played by Jacqueline Jossa.
Oscar will return to the soap in July and will now be played by newcomer Pierre Moullier.

In a recent statement, new executive producer Ben Wadey expressed his enthusiasm about reintroducing the character Oscar Branning to the soap, EastEnders. This time around, viewers will get to see Oscar as an adult. Given that he is a Branning, there’s bound to be a lot of exciting drama unfolding in Walford this summer.
It appears that Mr. Wadey is eagerly working towards reviving the Branning family empire, as the Jacksons have left and Max has been away for a long time.
While discussing his role as Oscar, Moullier shared that it felt “unreal” and further mentioned, “Upon learning I’d be part of the Branning clan, excitement surged through me because they are such a renowned family, and I adore the numerous mysteries hidden within their past.
Oscar is full of surprises and entertaining to interact with, since he’s a rather intricate individual, so spectators should brace themselves for the unpredictable!

It’s been proposed that character actors Oscar and Lauren might soon be reunited with the return of Jake Wood as Max Branning, but the soap opera has not officially verified these reports yet.
According to our source, it’s exciting news for EastEnders viewers since Jake’s character left a significant impact on the series, and now he’s coming back.
His absence at the 40th anniversary event earlier this year has certainly sparked curiosity, and management is eager to see how his return could add intrigue to the storylines.
