The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Dual Playstyle and World Design Detailed in Extensive Gameplay

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Rebel Wolves has revealed an extensive sneak peek into the gameplay for their upcoming masterpiece, “The Blood of Dawnwalker”. This captivating footage is drawn from a pre-beta work-in-progress version, meticulously captured within the engine on a PC platform. The video focuses on our protagonist, Coen, as he embarks on a quest amidst this open-world dark fantasy action RPG.

In his quest for knowledge, he travels to the biggest city of Vale Sangora to uncover secrets about a potent weapon concealed within a cathedral. As you traverse through this world, you’ll encounter opportunities to explore ancient relics, disrupt vampire supply lines, or engage in skirmishes with rogue groups.

Coen is a being with half-vampire characteristics, which means his health doesn’t naturally recover during the day. This poses a problem since he uses Hexes that deplete his HP. However, there’s a solution: he can consume food to regain health. At night, he has the ability to feed on non-player characters (NPCs) and wild creatures to replenish his health.

In this scenario, the hunger level serves as a health indicator for Coen, and every night he begins in a state of hunger. You have control over how much hunger to reduce, whether it’s sufficient to incapacitate someone or even cause their demise. However, take care not to target crucial NPCs, as there will be repercussions if you do so.

Based on the harm you inflict, guards may grow wary and suspicious. It’s the player’s choice whether they confront the vampire lords boldly or maintain a low profile, biding their time for an opportunity. During your journey through the city, you’ll overhear various discussions among NPCs, including the enigmatic Uriash, another race of beings. The objective is to reach the castle of Griefberg to rescue Coen’s family, and while it can be done early, it’s incredibly difficult. Along the way, you may encounter different community settings that hint at new quests or secret riches.

In 2026, the game titled “The Dawnwalker’s Blood” will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. For additional information such as a way to bypass encountering entire factions in the storyline, and for future updates, please follow this link.
