Verdict on A Place Called Silence
Recap
The film explores the aftermath of harassment within a school environment, depicting the targeted student suffering without any intervention. Yet, there’s someone who has different ideas about how to handle the tormentors, leading to a series of fatalities among them.
Best Parts
The film skillfully stirs up your desire for the tormentors to face their consequences, offering no pity or compassion for them whatsoever. It may be tough to endure, but the powerful drive for retribution following the bullying is palpable and underscores the depth of love ones’ anger.
Worst Parts
The degree of corruption within the school is astounding, and it’s equally troubling that the police appear uninvolved. There was a general apathy, making it the most unsettling aspect of the film.
Final Thoughts – A Place Called Silence is disturbing for the lack of action.
