As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the technical details revealed about ‘A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead‘ have certainly piqued my interest. Having played on a variety of consoles over the years, I can appreciate the versatility offered by having two graphics modes – Quality and Performance.
We’ve learned a lot about “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead” before its launch, including its immersive stealth mechanics, captivating storyline set in a post-apocalyptic world, and its connections to popular horror games. However, one aspect we haven’t discussed much is the technical side of things, particularly regarding its performance and resolution goals.
In a chat with GamingBolt, Stormind Games shared that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will offer two visual settings. Players can opt for Quality Mode, delivering the game at 4K resolution and 30 frames per second, or Performance Mode, offering a smoother 60 frames per second experience at 1440p resolution. Unfortunately, Xbox Series S users will only have access to one mode, running at 1440p and 30 FPS, as they won’t get the 60 FPS option due to the console’s lower capabilities.
It’s uncertain if there will be any improvements exclusive to the PS5 Pro model at this point. Keep an eye out for our upcoming interview with Stormind Games for further insights on this matter.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead launches on October 17 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
