Upon arriving at the location, scan the seashore to discover a Bottle with a Letter inside. Retrieve it and read its contents for your next task instructions.
To locate the Stranded Sailor who penned this letter, check the island east of the Spiral Cliff region. The game suggests you can either sail on the Marind from Kastleton Port or simply swim towards the island. For a more efficient route, we’d advise taking a dip and swimming straight there.
Should you choose to embark on the Marind, kindly note that the Kastleton Port location has been highlighted on the provided map.
Regardless of your route, upon arriving at the island, you’ll find yourself having to ascend the steep cliffs all the way to their peak. Keep in mind that this can be quite a challenge, but it’s certainly possible. Be on the lookout for various handholds or anchor points along the cliff face and utilize them as necessary during your climb.
At the peak of the island, scan your surroundings for a Deceased Sailor, but do note that there’s a Sailor’s Missive beside him. Grab it and peruse its contents.
Finding the Shipwreck’s Treasure
The Stranded Sailor’s letter talks about a certain Harnie and also reveals that there’s a treasure on a tiny island nearby. The island is directly west of where you find the Stranded Sailor and his letter, as you can see on the map above. The easiest way to get there is to just jump off the cliff and use a Glide Morph, then swim if you need to.
Upon arriving at the minuscule isle, seek out a chest adorned with the title “Shipwreck Treasure Chest”. Once you’ve found it and opened it, you’ll unleash the Chestacean Polymorph! But remember, that’s just one part of the “A Sailor’s Letter” Exploration Codex quest in Throne & Liberty.
Meeting With Harnie
After finding the hidden treasure, it’s time for you to travel back to Kastleton. To get there more swiftly, we suggest using a teleportation option that takes you to the Kastleton Waypoint. Alternatively, head towards the Lord’s Residence, which is located in the northeastern part of Kastleton.
Venture into the Dwelling of the Almighty and search for Assistant Dave of the Lord. Though he appears to roam about the dwelling rather than remaining stationary, his location is easily identified by a distinctive blue diamond symbol. So, locating him should be straightforward in your journey.
When you locate Dave, engage in conversation with him and inquire, “Who is Harnie?” He’ll disclose that she’s the spouse of a sailor who vanished approximately 10 years back. In fact, she’s the missing sailor’s wife!
In the last part of your Exploration Codex mission, you’ll need to catch up with Harnie and share information about her spouse’s condition. She can be found at the Kastleton Memorial Hall, situated in the northwest corner of Kastleton.
In this scenario, your task is to find Harnie at the Kastleton Memorial Hall where her husband’s grave is located. Engage in a conversation with her and present her with her husband’s final letter, providing some much-needed answers about his fate. Additionally, return her necklace, which you had picked up earlier during your quest. Although this ending isn’t joyful, it brings Harnie closure on the matter, offering a sense of resolution.
