The welcome screen that appears whenever you log into your PS5 remains largely the same as it was when first introduced; however, it looks like Sony might be preparing a fresh new widget for this interface.
It appears that some members of PlayStation’s beta testing group have been given an update to their Welcome hub, introducing a fresh widget on the screen.
The new feature was captured by Reddit user MFTLrage:
The “Recently Played” feature (still in development phase), displays certain statistics and details about the most recent game you’ve launched.
From the pictures, it’s clear that the widget offers a comprehensive overview of gaming advancement, including trophy achievements, total playtime, number of friends participating, count of saved screenshots, and frequency of game sessions.
It’s anticipated that everyone will soon receive an update on the Welcome center. As for any further adjustments, we’ll have to wait and see.
