What Is Aang: The Last Airbender?
Under the joint production of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, the long-awaited movie titled Aang: The Last Airbender is set to hit theaters on January 30th, 2026. While specific details about the plot have yet to be disclosed, it’s been confirmed that this upcoming story, helmed by Avatar Studios, will take place between Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, focusing on an older Aang than previously shown in the original series. Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, known for their work on “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra,” are back as series creators and executive producers, alongside Ethan Spaulding in the role of executive producer and Sehaj Sethi as co-executive producer. No release date has been set for the upcoming sequel series, and details about its voice cast remain undisclosed at this time.
