Absent Former WWE Women's Champion Begins Training 17 Months After Last Match: Watch

As a long-time fan of WWE and someone who has followed Alexa Bliss’ career since her early days in NXT, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation for her potential return to the ring. The 2023 Royal Rumble marked a significant moment in Bliss’ life as she took an extended leave of absence due to pregnancy, giving birth to her first child with husband Ryan Cabrera last November.

At the 2023 Royal Rumble event, Alexa Bliss, who was once the WWE Women’s Champion, made her final appearance. Due to her pregnancy with her first child, she took an extended break from television. Her baby girl was born in November last year with her husband Ryan Cabrera. Bliss has been hinting at a potential return on social media using mysterious posts. However, no concrete information has emerged yet about when she might make a comeback to WWE.

During her break from WWE, “The Goddess” Lana has kept a low profile. Although no specific return date has been announced, she’s given fans a glimpse into her training routine. In a recent clip, Lana is seen performing her signature move, the Twisted Bliss finisher, off the ropes (watch below). She accompanied the video with the caption, “This finishing move is called Twisted Bliss.” Additionally, Lana shared a photo of herself practicing her first backhand spring since having her baby.

Since Bliss left, the women’s division has undergone significant changes with new stars such as Chelsea Green, Isla Dawn, Alba Fyre, Jade Cargill, and Stephanie Vaquer emerging. These fresh faces will now be part of the NXT brand. Although Bliss has yet to face many new opponents in WWE, there are plenty waiting for her in the ring. Another intriguing development is the Wyatt Family’s successor, the Wyatt Sicks group, led by Bo Dallas – Bray Wyatt’s brother. Despite the “spooky” theme being hit or miss in WWE, this faction has already gained massive fan engagement on social media each week.

I was eagerly anticipating Bliss’s potential involvement in the storyline once again, as tantalizing hints and sneak peeks graced WWE broadcasts for months. However, it seems that this isn’t the route they’ve decided to take. If they were to bring her back into the mix and acknowledge her role in Wyatt’s WWE history, it could add an intriguing layer to his character development.

I’ve been a passionate fan of Bliss for over ten years now, ever since she joined WWE’s NXT brand back in 2013. It was when she shed her glamorous image and embraced her goddess persona that she truly captured my attention. And before I knew it, she was called up to the main roster, leaving me in awe.
