In my perspective as a movie reviewer, the haunting final scene of this comic – the Joker’s ominous hand extending, a miniature goon clinging to his arm – is downright terrifying, akin to a chilling nightmare. But it’s the last words that truly send shivers down your spine. This issue of Absolute Batman tantalizes us with the concept of Absolute versions of Batman’s adversaries, and in a chilling conclusion, the Joker demands Bane. Unlike the traditional Joker, this incarnation appears to delegate his evil deeds to a horde of monstrous henchmen, making his call for Bane all the more menacing.

In mainstream superhero comics, it’s tough to surprise readers these days, but the last page and Joker reveal in this comic was incredibly shocking – one of the most shocking I’ve encountered in a long while. It underscores that while this new Joker will be unlike any we’ve seen before, he might turn out to be even more monstrous than our current imagination suggests. The Absolute Batman series has been an exhilarating journey, and if the Joker preview is anything to go by, things are only going to get more insane from here on out.
