This display is expected to come standard with the initial model priced at $1,900. Keep in mind that you’ll need to budget for higher costs as you move up to more advanced models.
On the Helios Neo 18 AI, you’ll find four alternative 18-inch display options, most of which share similar variable specifications. The premium choice boasts a mini-LED technology and QHD+ resolution, with a swift refresh rate of 250Hz. The least expensive option, on the other hand, offers an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 165Hz.
NVIDIA’s mobile RTX 5000 GPUs might be the best way to land new hardware
On January 30th, NVIDIA unveiled its RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 desktop graphics processors. However, the release was marked by a severe scarcity of stock, with many prominent retailers possessing just a handful – four or five units – of these premium GPUs. Consequently, these new desktop cards were quickly snapped up.
Unfortunately, it seems there might be a long wait of several months for any significant selection of these new GPUs to hit the market. Although the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 may not have been extraordinarily impressive in terms of raw computing power, their ability to utilize DLSS 4 upscaling technology and an increased emphasis on Tensor core performance for artificial intelligence applications make them quite appealing. These graphics cards are particularly attractive to individuals who haven’t yet upgraded to the RTX 40-series GPU.

The ROG Strix G16, priced at approximately $1,900, is one of them, featuring an RTX 5070 Ti. However, Acer’s RTX 5070 Predator Helios Neo 16 AI seems to be a bit more expensive, starting around the same price point of $1,900 as well.
The cost goes beyond just the GPU; it’s actually more budget-friendly than I anticipated. However, there are likely cheaper and pricier alternatives coming up soon. But for those gaming enthusiasts who favor mobility, the $2,000 range for these high-end laptops could be quite attractive.
