In just under eight months since Microsoft and Qualcomm joined forces to introduce the initial Copilot+ PCs, Acer has broadened the range with several new PC models revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025.
Instead of being powered by Qualcomm’s ARM-based Snapdragon X chips, the newly introduced Acer Copilot+ hardware lineup features either Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) or AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors. Acer has unveiled eight new Copilot+ PC models, but the one that caught my attention is the latest Revo Box AI mini PC.
Acer’s Revo Box AI brings Copilot+ tools to a mini PC
The star attraction from Acer is the Revo Box AI, a compact computer that utilizes Intel’s Ultra Series 2 processors and includes a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for quick local processing of artificial intelligence tasks.
2024 was a significant year for Mini PCs, but there was no intersection regarding Copilot+ tools. Qualcomm announced the cancellation of its Snapdragon X Elite devkit just a few days after its launch, and in December, information on a Geekom mini PC featuring an X Elite chip leaked out.
Introducing the compact Revo Box AI, measuring only 0.75 liters and tipping the scales at just 1.1 pounds (0.5 kg). It comes in both black and white color options, and Acer has added a stylish touch to this PC with cross-hatch lines on its top, a built-in fingerprint reader for Windows Hello, and an AI activity light, first seen on some of Acer’s AI laptops as early as 2024.
One of Acer’s most visually appealing hardware in a while isn’t just about aesthetics. The mini PC is anchored by Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) mobile AI processors, although the specific chips Acer has chosen are yet to be specified. However, what we do know is that this device will deliver 48 TOPS of NPU power for the AI tools accessible through Copilot+.

Intel’s Series 2 GPUs show a significant improvement in performance over their Series 1 counterparts, making them ideal for casual gaming. Acer provides up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM as standard, and the mini PC comes with up to a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD right out of the box. Inside, you’ll find three M.2 slots that can be easily accessed for future upgrades: two smaller 2230 slots and one full-size 2280 slot.
Acer announces that their Revo Box AI model comes equipped with Wi-Fi 6E for robust wireless connectivity, while it offers two 2.5G Ethernet ports to ensure reliable wired communication as well.
The latest M4 Mac mini from Apple, with its built-in AI powered by Apple Intelligence, is certainly hard not to compare to. However, in some aspects, Acer seems to have the edge. For instance, upgrading storage should be less complicated within the Windows system. Moreover, Acer offers two 2.5G Ethernet ports as standard, while the Mac mini only has one 1G Ethernet port that can be enhanced to 10G. Furthermore, Acer provides a wider variety of ports compared to the Mac mini.
The Revo Box AI features a USB4 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a pair of USB-A 3.2 ports on its front side; it also has two additional USB-A ports at the back. It supports DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 for video output, and there are two Ethernet connections as well, which were mentioned earlier.
The Revo Box AI mini PC is expected to launch in Q2 2025, starting at $799.99.
Acer’s Copilot+ initiative extends to its all-in-one PCs

At CES 2025, Acer unveiled more than just the Revo Box AI Copilot+; their new Aspire S AI and Aspire C AI all-in-one PCs also made an appearance. These models come in both 24-inch and 27-inch versions, showcasing a cutting-edge design that’s one of the most contemporary I’ve ever witnessed from Acer.
In the C series models, you’ll find ultra-thin frames surrounding the screen, a pop-up camera, and compact stands that are hard to miss. On the other hand, the S series adopts a more practical design with a sturdier stand and integrated webcam on a thicker upper bezel. Acer equips the Aspire S AI with Intel’s Core Ultra Series 2 processors, while the Aspire C AI is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 chips.
Regarding the Copilot+ line, new Aspire 14 AI and Swift Go 14/16 devices are forthcoming. The upcoming Aspire laptop is rumored to feature Intel’s Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) CPU, accompanied by a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 48 Tera Operations Per Second (TOPS). It may also include up to 32GB of high-speed LPDDR5x RAM and a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive.
As a thrilled enthusiast, I can’t help but share some exciting news about the upcoming Aspire 14 AI! This marvel is set to hit the market in February, with its base price starting at $799.99. But
In simpler terms, the lineup of Swift Go devices will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 CPU, which also includes a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 50 TOPS. You’ll get to choose between a 14-inch or a 16-inch display. The 14-inch model is set to launch in May, with the 16-inch model coming out a month earlier in April. The starting price of $899.99 appears fair considering it offers up to 3K resolution and an OLED screen.
