Adam Cole's AEW Status Revealed: When Will He Return to Television?

As a gamer with a lifelong love for professional wrestling, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of Adam Cole returning to AEW. It’s been a long road for him, and as someone who’s had my fair share of injuries in gaming tournaments (ahem, that one time I pulled a muscle reaching for an extra life), I can empathize with his struggle.

One key member of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been absent from our screens for more than a year following an unfortunate, unforeseen mishap. Adam Cole was deeply involved in a lucrative storyline with the AEW World Champion and ROH Tag Team Champion MJF. In the course of events, he leaped off the stage, resulting in an ankle injury that became apparent as he grabbed his leg and hopped about. Although it has temporarily halted many AEW plans, there’s hope that this star may soon return to our television screens again.

Based on information from Fightful Select’s report, there are active plans underway to reintroduce this popular figure onto TV screens. It’s worth mentioning that Cole was spotted backstage at AEW All Out in Chicago recently without the need for crutches or his boot, suggesting he may have fully recuperated from any injuries. Earlier this year, there were rumors about him traveling with AEW, which temporarily delayed his healing process, causing him to be sent back home. Injured, he made a TV comeback by unveiling himself as the devil, betraying MJF and forming the Undisputed Kingdom. However, since then, the storyline has seemingly moved forward without him, leading many to speculate that it might have been abandoned altogether.

It’s uncertain which path he’ll follow upon his comeback, but hints on TV suggest he might rejoin the Undisputed Kingdom group. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett have shared that Wardlow, out of action for a while now, is recovering from a knee injury. They mentioned that he’s figuring out the best way to handle his injury at this time. Meanwhile, MJF has been embroiled in a rivalry with Daniel Garcia, defeating him at the All Out pay-per-view. However, it appears that these plans might change as Garcia’s contract situation remains unclear.

I’d love to hear your opinions on the news that Adam Cole has rejoined AEW! Which storyline do you think would suit him best? Share your thoughts on X and Bluesky @haleyanne_! As usual, keep up with ComicBook for the latest updates about Adam Cole in AEW.
