As a lifelong Aerosmith fan, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions reading this announcement. The band has been part of my life for over four decades, providing the soundtrack to countless memories and moments. Their music has been there through thick and thin, and their concerts were always an unforgettable experience.
Aerosmith has shared that they’ll stop performing live concerts due to Steven Tyler‘s vocal injury, which prevents them from completing their ongoing tour at the moment.
Through the band’s official platform that was once referred to as Twitter, I received the heartening news. We were humbled beyond words, considering it an honor of our lives, to see our music resonate with fans in such a profound way, becoming something they recognize and cherish.
In every club, during every large tour, and even in intimate, personal times, you’ve let us be part of the music that shapes your life experiences, as expressed by the band.
In our shows, we strive to astound you with our performances. You’re aware that Steven’s voice is unique and exceptional. Over countless hours and tireless effort, he’s been working diligently to restore his voice to its previous state after an injury. Despite being assisted by top-notch medical professionals, we’ve witnessed him facing challenges in this journey.
Regrettably, it appears that a complete healing from his vocal injury won’t occur. As a united group, we’ve had to make a tough, sorrowful, yet essential choice – to step away from active touring.
1970 marked the ignition of Aerosmith’s inception, a flash of inspiration that was fueled by your support, our Blue Army. You’ve kept that initial spark alive for over five decades. Many of you have stood with us since the very start, and it is all of you who’ve made Aerosmith a significant part of rock ‘n’ roll legacy.

The band expressed their thanks to all who were eager to travel with them one final time.
It concluded: “Grateful to our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who’ve made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you – the best fans on planet Earth. Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true.”
While on our Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, I (Steven Tyler) shared that I had sustained damage to my vocal cords following a show’s performance.
“The singer shared that they were deeply sad to announce they must avoid singing for the next month, as directed by their doctor.”
“I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding.
“Let’s adjust some schedules temporarily, so we can return and deliver the top-notch performance you truly deserve.”
