AEW Champion Answers Bryan Danielson's Open Challenge for All Out

As a lifelong wrestling fan, I must say that the recent turn of events at AEW Dynamite has me absolutely thrilled! The new AEW World Champion, Bryan Danielson, captured my heart with his emotional victory and candid insights into his life and career. It was a goosebump-inducing moment to witness over 50,000 fans singing along to “The Final Countdown.”

At the close of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson, the recent AEW World Champion, was featured in a segment. He claimed the title just a few days ago from Swerve Strickland at AEW All In, with more than 50,000 spectators joining in on “The Final Countdown” song. Fans have pondered about his championship reign, speculating whether he’d retire upon winning or if the retirement talk was merely a ruse. Danielson addressed these lingering questions since Saturday and even welcomed his first challenger to the scene.

With much excitement, the crowd echoed “yes” chants as Danielson marched towards the ring. He mentioned that his family was present at Wembley to witness his victory. Following the match, his daughter Birdie expressed that it was her best day yet, though it might have been due to a Peppa Pig double-decker bus, this doesn’t diminish the fact that winning was the most cherished moment of his entire career. When asked about future plans, he openly discussed how his contract ends on August 1st. He requires neck surgery sooner rather than later and his family is eager for him to return home.

He’s spent considerable thought, particularly since joining AEW, as wrestling has been his passion throughout his life and having AEW around enhances both wrestling and his personal life. Reflecting on the achievements of those who founded AEW, he sees his fellow performers and future stars, making him feel it’s not quite time to go home – yet! He won’t be retiring as champion; instead, he intends to battle for the title as much as possible. There are still many opponents to confront. Thus, at the AEW All Out event in Chicago, Illinois, he issues an open challenge. His aim is to become the greatest AEW World Champion of all time.

The scene transitions to Jack Perry, currently holding the TNT Title. Danialson seems uncertain about his future, but Perry is confident about his own. He asserts that Danialson never had faith in him. However, Perry has forged his path within AEW. He’s made a bold prediction – his destiny lies in becoming the AEW World Champion and he intends to be the one to retire “The American Dragon.” In an unexpected move, Perry attacks Danialson from behind, rendering him unconscious. With both the TNT title and the AEW World Championship in hand, Perry raises them triumphantly above his and Danialson’s heads.

It’s clear that there has been some tension between Perry and Chicago-native CM Punk, who was recently dismissed from AEW following an argument backstage prior to AEW All Out. This incident led to his suspension. Although fans have shown a variety of reactions towards both figures in AEW for the past year, it’s highly likely that Punk will receive a torrent of boos during the NOW Arena event.
