AEW Releasing Behind-the-Scenes Documentary About All In 2023 Event

As a lifelong wrestling fan who’s been through the rollercoaster of emotions that is professional wrestling, I can hardly contain my excitement for AEW Stories: AEW All In London! The teaser alone has me reminiscing about the electric atmosphere at Wembley Stadium during the original All In event in 2018.

Starting next week, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is launching a fresh video series on their YouTube channel, titled “AEW Stories.” The inaugural episode will feature highlights from an unforgettable wrestling event in 2023, namely, the “AEW All In,” which attracted an astounding 80,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This remarkable gathering not only set new records for AEW but also for the wrestling industry as a whole. However, the night wasn’t without its controversies, with one of the most talked-about incidents being CM Punk’s backstage altercation with Jack Perry. This incident eventually led to Punk’s departure from AEW. It remains uncertain whether this documentary-style video will delve into these events or if AEW will opt to leave them out.

Back in the early part of this year, I got a glimpse of an intense confrontation between Perry and Punk, which reportedly stemmed from Perry stirring up trouble about the glass usage in Punk’s pre-match warm-up against HOOK. With Punk set to kick off the show with Samoa Joe just seconds away, he flashed his legendary smirk during his entrance. The match went smoothly for him, but by the time AEW All Out rolled around in Chicago a week later, he was let go from his contract.

Last year at Survivor Series, Punk made a stunning comeback to WWE, and he’s been a major player on TV ever since. His ongoing rivalry with Drew McIntyre, which ignited during their intense clash at SummerSlam, continues unabated. Meanwhile, Perry finds himself immersed in a group called The Elite, consisting of the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, where he’s the TNT Champion. His title is on the line as he prepares to battle Darby Allin for it at this year’s All In event.

In a short preview shared online, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, along with Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page, discuss the momentous night and its impact on wrestling, mirroring the original 2018 All In event, independently produced by the Bucks and Cody Rhodes. The full video is set to debut on August 19 at noon ET on the AEW YouTube channel, just days before this year’s event.

Don’t forget to save the date! Next Monday at noon, get an exclusive backstage peek into one of the largest wrestling events of the year – AEW AllIn in London! Use the hashtags: #AEW Stories and #AEWAllIn.

According to the latest WrestleTix update on August 8th, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has already sold more than 45,000 tickets for this year’s event, which can accommodate up to 51,314 attendees. This time around, women’s matches are expected to be a focal point, unlike last year. “Timeless” Toni Storm is scheduled to defend the Women’s World Championship against her protege, Mariah May. If successful, Mariah aims to establish herself as AEW’s future star.

Bryan Danielson is set to face Swerve Strickland in a World Championship bout, marking one of the final matches of his in-ring career. The card features numerous other exciting clashes, such as Mercedes Mon? and Britt Baker squaring off for the first time. Last year, Mercedes Mon? watched from the audience at this same event.
