As a seasoned wrestling enthusiast with over two decades of watching the squared circle, I must say that the AEW All In event was nothing short of spectacular! The energy at London’s Wembley Arena was electric, and Will Ospreay’s triumphant return of the AEW International Championship was the cherry on top.
Many wrestling enthusiasts anticipated that The Aerial Assassin would reclaim the AEW International Championship amidst his home crowd in London during All In, and indeed, Will Ospreay accomplished this feat on Sunday evening. Ospreay vanquished MJF not only to regain the International Championship but also to restore its original identity, stripping MJF’s All-American theme from the title belt.
As a dedicated fan, I must admit that it seemed like a given that Ospreay would emerge victorious amidst the roaring London crowd on Sunday. However, there was an unexpected twist in the match: Ospreay received some covert assistance to bypass MJF. In the heat of the battle when the referee’s attention was diverted, MJF prepared a vicious and underhanded blow using something akin to brass knuckles. But just as he was about to strike, a mysterious figure sprinted into the ring and thwarted his attack.
It turned out that the stranger was none other than Daniel Garcia, the same person MJF betrayed a few weeks back. Garcia and Ospreay have had some competitive encounters in the ring, but their mutual respect for each other is evident. Garcia demonstrated this on Sunday night by coming to Ospreay’s aid when it was crucial.
Besides Garcia’s arrival, there’s been a buzz about how Ospreay managed to defeat MJF. In a climactic moment, Ospreay executed the risky Tiger Driver 91, a move he had earlier stated he wouldn’t perform again. MJF’s underhanded tactics pushed Ospreay to his limits, and he resorted to every tactic at his disposal to dethrone his adversary. And with precision, he did just that, executing the Tiger Driver flawlessly, ending MJF’s reign.
