The re-mastered version of a re-make (originally released for Xbox 360 in 2006 as an exclusive) titled “Gears of War: Reloaded,” will now be available on PlayStation 5, and it’s still a bit surprising to say that.
For the first time last weekend, fans got to experience playing the game on a PlayStation, however, the event was marred by technical difficulties.
In response, the second beta weekend will be a little longer and will include more content.
The developer team, The Coalition, has shared updated information about the forthcoming beta testing on their social media platforms.
For those who have pre-ordered the game, the second beta weekend is open from 20th June at noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) / 3pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) / 8pm British Summer Time (BST), all the way to 22nd June at 9pm PDT / 12am EDT* / 5am BST*, providing an additional nine hours to the beta testing.
\*Note: The exact end times for EDT and BST have been adjusted to account for daylight saving time changes.
In addition to the casual Team Deathmatch and strategic King of the Hill, players can engage in competitive Execution mode too.
During the upcoming second beta testing phase, you’ll encounter a selection of six exciting maps: Gridlock, Raven Down, Gold Rush, Courtyard, War Machine, and Canals.
Hopefully the technical side of things will be improved the second go around.
2025 marks the release date for “Gears of War: Reloaded.” If you missed out on the beta, don’t worry – the full game isn’t much longer to wait!
Are you looking forward to it? Will you participate in the second trial version over the weekend? Share your thoughts with us in the comment area beneath.
*Morning of 23rd June.
