About

Originating from the same artist who brought you Coffee Talk and What Comes After, comes a heartfelt journey through everyday experiences set in contemporary Jakarta. Embark on this tale that explores themes such as love, grief, and personal growth by assuming the role of Rama, a young musician grappling with life’s challenges after the demise of his beloved partner, Cinta.

A Slice-of-Life Adventure Set in Urban Jakarta

In the pulsating heart of Jakarta, the bustling capital of Indonesia, I found myself immersed in Afterlove EP – a captivating fusion of visual novel, narrative adventure, and rhythm game, masterfully crafted by the same creative mind behind Coffee Talk and What Comes After.

Imagine yourself in the position of Rama, a budding musician who’s grappling with life’s challenges following the demise of his beloved girlfriend, Cinta.

Although his friends and fellow musicians are committed to assisting him in moving forward, Rama has found himself stagnant for over a year now. He’s letting slip his musical pursuits, his emotional well-being, and his personal relationships.

Inside his mind, he’s debating whether Cinta’s voice he hears is a spiritual presence or a figment of his imagination, as her words seem to add complexity to his thoughts.

Now He Has Just One Month to Get It Together!

In a month, Rama’s band has a crucial performance coming up. If he doesn’t buckle down and produce the fresh tunes he’s promised, the group may have to continue without him.

For over three weeks, it is up to you to decide the course Rama’s journey will take. Roam around the city, pick which bonds to mend and which fresh connections to establish. Confront the past, reawaken your artistic spirit, and assist Rama in shaping a future for himself.

A Mix of Narrative Adventure, Dating Simulation, and Rhythm Game

Explore contemporary Jakarta by scrolling sideways, interact deeply with characters you pick for thoughtful dialogues, and enjoy rhythm-based music sessions with your band.

Visit Indonesia

As a significant part of the flourishing independent game development sector in Indonesia, the game titled “Afterlove EP” endeavors to provide a genuine glimpse into contemporary city life within the Indonesian metropolis.

The game is based on the bustling streets of Jakarta, home to many of its developers, and boasts unique artwork reminiscent of manga, created by acclaimed Indonesian artist Soyatu. Additionally, it offers an original soundtrack courtesy of Indonesian indie band L’Alphalpha.

From the Creator of Coffee Talk and What Comes After

Known for creating tales that evoke strong emotions, the “Afterlove EP” was the last work of the accomplished narrative designer, author, and developer, Mohammad Fahmi, who tragically died in March 2022 at the young age of 32.

About the Developer

Pikselnesia is a small, independent game development studio from Indonesia, established by Fahmi for the “Afterlove EP” project. Following Fahmi’s unfortunate demise, the team dedicated themselves to finishing the game and realizing his original concept.

The team, distributed geographically throughout Indonesia, has been operating remotely. They’ve contributed to game development projects such as “A Space for the Unbound,” “What Comes After,” and “Hello Good Boy.
