The section of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ is evolving further, as confirmed by the producer of “Agatha All Along“. This upcoming series sees Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as Agatha Harkness, the wicked witch from “WandaVision”. Notably, this was the first Marvel Studios series created exclusively for Disney+ and it revived Wanda Maximoff and Vision, who had perished in “Avengers: Infinity War”. With “Agatha All Along” set to premiere this month, a Vision-centric series is also on the horizon, promising links to “WandaVision”.
In an exclusive interview prior to the premiere of “Agatha All Along” on Disney+, ComicBook chatted with Mary Livanos, the series producer. When inquired about her future plans once she finishes working on “Agatha All Along”, Livanos playfully hinted at her involvement in a project tentatively named “Vision Quest”.
As a passionate fan, I’m eagerly sharing this exciting news: It seems like the development of “Vision Quest” has been announced! This means I’ll be overjoyed and fortunate to revisit the storyline once more. We’re still in the early stages, but we can expect the narrative to continue post-“WandaVision” events. For those who might need a refresher, “WandaVison” concluded with White Vision absorbing the original Vision’s memories and flying off towards uncharted territories. In “Vision Quest“, we’ll likely follow White Vision as he embarks on a journey to forge his own identity as a hero.
James Spader returning as Ultron for Marvel’s Vision Series
It’s shocking news, but it seems James Spader will once again lend his voice to the villainous character, Ultron, in the upcoming film Vision Quest. Previously, fans heard Spader as Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he played the menacing adversary against the Earth’s powerful Avengers. In that movie, Ultron met his demise at the hands of Vision, but comic book enthusiasts know that death rarely means the end for such characters, and it appears that both Spader and Ultron are making a comeback.
In 2022, there were initial reports about a spinoff centered around Bettany’s White Vision, with WandaVision’s head writer and executive producer Jac Schaefer planning a writers’ room. However, instead of working on that project, Schaefer opted to oversee the Agatha All Along spinoff featuring Kathryn Hahn as the witch from Westview. Later in 2023, listings on the Writers’ Guild of America website suggested that Megan McDonnell (WandaVision) and Peter Cameron (Moon Knight) were part of the writers for this particular show; however, it remains uncertain if they are still associated with Matalas’ Vision series.
