Agatha and Scarlet Witch Reunite to Discuss Wanda’s New Protege (Exclusive)

As a longtime Marvel fan, I’ve seen my fair share of twists and turns, but the introduction of Amaranth in Scarlet Witch #6 is one that has truly piqued my interest! Coming hot on the heels of Agatha Harkness’ return, this new character seems to be stirring up quite a storm.

As a die-hard Marvel fan, I can’t help but reflect on the intriguing developments surrounding Scarlet Witch in “Agatha All Along”. However, if you’re yearning for another encounter between Agatha Harkness and Wanda Maximoff, you’ll need to keep your eyes glued to Marvel’s upcoming “Scarlet Witch” series. The comics have skillfully repositioned Scarlet Witch within the Marvel Universe and added depth to her supporting characters by bringing back a youthful Agatha.

As an ardent fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve got the exclusive scoop on Scarlet Witch #6 by Steve Orlando, Lorenzo Tammetta, Frank William, and VC’s Ariana Maher! The story kicks off with a heartfelt chat between Scarlet Witch and Agatha in Wanda’s basement at her Lotkill shop. They revisit the incident from Scarlet Witch Annual #1 where Agatha swiped the elder god Chthon from Wanda’s soul, but this time around, it seems Agatha means well!

In the meantime, Amaranth is engaged in a conversation with Darcy Lewis upstairs. During their chat, Amaranth discloses that it was Agatha who rescued her and she was adopted by her father at age 10. Despite his efforts to unearth her past, he became unhinged instead. Over time, she fled until she encountered Agatha, who attempted to aid her but fell short. Now, Amaranth has become the responsibility of Scarlet Witch.

Who is Amaranth, Scarlet Witch’s new protege?

Jen Bartel’s creation, Amaranth, is a fresh character introduced for Marvel’s New Champions variant cover series. Alongside other young heroes, Amaranth will make their way into the upcoming series titled “New Champions,” set to premiere in January. At this point, not much has been revealed about Amaranth, but Wanda from “Scarlet Witch” #6 is expected to assist in uncovering Amaranth’s mysterious past.

Orlando expressed his fascination with Amaranth ever since she appeared on Jen Bartel’s stunning cover. He wondered about her background and secrets, leading him to seize the opportunity to introduce her into SCARLET WITCH and delve deeper into those mysteries alongside the rest of the creative team. Bringing Amaranth through the Last Door allows us to flip Wanda’s usual dynamic by presenting a challenging, enigmatic figure for Wanda to grapple with – much like Wanda faced in her past.

Here’s a look at the advance peek for Scarlet Witch #6, hitting the shelves this coming Wednesday, November 20th!
