As a seasoned gamer and Marvel fan with a penchant for piecing together intricate narratives, I must admit that the theory surrounding Aubrey Plaza’s character, Rio Vidal, in Agatha All Along has me hooked. The evidence presented, such as the Ouija board spellings and the similarity between Rio’s knife and the one held by “The Death” tarot card, is intriguing to say the least.
In simpler terms, fans of Marvel are brainstorming intriguing hypotheses about Aubrey Plaza’s character in the show “Agatha All Along.” A Reddit user named Yoshimon7 has proposed an interesting theory suggesting that Agatha might not just be a rival resident of WestView, but could be Death herself. This is a significant claim, yet it seems to have substantial backing.
Regarding Tarot cards and costume design, ComicBook interviewed Daniel Selon, the costume designer for Agatha All Along’s character Patti LuPone’s Lilia Calderu. It appears that the card designs being custom-made mentioned by Selon may also apply to the entire coven when examined more closely. Here is what the designer shared about this intriguing detail.
According to Selon, they were delighted to think that the coat belonged to LuPone was a unique protective garment with its own story. As a result, they designed a deck of tarot cards and created artwork for the small embroidered scenes on the collar. They even made their own tarot cards! Since everything had to be tailor-made and one-of-a-kind, they were dedicated to meeting Ms. LuPone’s needs. Therefore, they came up with the idea of this concept for her.
The Reddit post goes even further arguing that Death is chasing Agatha Harkness because she’s clung to life by stealing the powers and lifeforce of other witches. We know from WandaVision that Kathryn Hahn’s character has been leeching energy for a long time now. There’s also the matter of a possible child sacrifice to get possession of the Darkhold in the first place. So, Death could be coming to collect on a number of fronts this time. We’ll have to wait and see what Rio Vidal does across the next few weeks of Agatha All Along.
Aubrey Plaza’s Character Unlocks Agatha Harkness’ Past
As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but dive into the web of mysteries that’s been unfolding in “Agatha All Along” ever since Episode 3 dropped this week. The enigma surrounding Mephisto, Scarlet Witch, and even the Darkhold have become hot topics among Marvel fans. Not to mention, Aubrey Plaza’s character Rio Vidal and the puzzling aspect of Joe Locke’s “Teen” are adding fuel to the fire. It seems there’s a solid reason for bringing Aubrey back into the game, and according to Mary Livanos, producer at Marvel, that could very well be the case. In an interview with ComicBook during the promotion for the show, she praised their on-screen dynamic and hinted that we haven’t uncovered all there is about Agatha Harkness yet. With three episodes under our belts, I can’t wait to see what other secrets this series has in store!

Unlike any Marvel character before her, Agatha Harkness hasn’t had her own comic book, making her debut in her very own show truly unique.
