Agatha Star Reveals They Tried Sneaking Onto Another Marvel Set (And What Happened)

As a fellow Marvel enthusiast who has grown up with the MCU like Joe Locke, I can certainly relate to his eagerness to sneak onto the set of The Thunderbolts! It’s always fascinating to see what goes on behind the scenes when our favorite superheroes come to life. However, it seems that even youthful exuberance and a burning passion for Marvel isn’t enough to bypass security measures at Marvel Studios.

It turns out that appearing in an MCU series doesn’t grant access to every corner of the multiverse, as Joe Locke discovered. In a chat on the Scene Stealers podcast, Locke admitted his attempt to sneak onto The Thunderbolts set while it was filming alongside Agatha All Along didn’t go as planned. Security thwarted him before he could catch a glimpse of anything interesting.

Locke is 21 years old and has essentially matured alongside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Being a devoted fan, he holds a special affection for “Black Widow,” and is eagerly anticipating Florence Pugh’s reprisal of Yelena Belova in “The Thunderbolts.” He shared his excitement by saying: “They began filming it shortly after we wrapped up. So I was like – one day they were shooting on the same set as us, so I tried to sneak onto the sets.

According to Lock, he was promptly identified on the filming location since discretion is crucial for Marvel Studios. His words were, “They told me to leave, leave! But I just wanted a peek.

Given the direction of his storyline in the MCU, Locke has a strong potential to rise as one of its major stars. Transforming from “Teen” to Billy Kaplan and eventually Billy Maximoff – the son of the Scarlet Witch known as Wiccan – during Agatha All Along, he might find himself on set more frequently than anticipated. In certain Marvel Comics narratives, he’s a highly influential hero with a crucial role, which could lead to unexpectedly busy schedules for him.

Marvel is known for being secretive and protective over its information, often keeping actors and crew in the dark. Previously, they’ve distributed misleading scripts and have very strict non-disclosure agreements. For instance, in 2022, Ethan Hawke, who stars in Moon Knight, chose not to discuss his experience working with Marvel Studios to avoid breaching his NDA, as he simply said, “I’m not allowed to talk about it.

In the same year, Marvel’s lawyer Paul Sarker discussed the underlying purposes of these NDAs with Comicbook.com. While an actor might potentially face lost income from a billion-dollar film if they disclose a spoiler, Sarker suggested that the real danger was losing future opportunities. He explained: “You also risk damaging relationships. For instance, suppose you haven’t been cast and they provide you with a script for testing or send you a link to a secure site where you can access a script for an online table read, etc. If you then reveal that information, A) they could sue you, and B) they may choose not to work with you because you can’t be trusted. If they bring you in and offer you more roles, they need to be able to trust you to become part of the team.

It’s fortunate that Locke’s curiosity doesn’t appear to have landed him in any predicaments thus far.
