It turns out that one Marvel producer was just as smitten with Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha in “WandaVision,” praising her during this week’s official Marvel podcast. Interestingly, they didn’t initially plan for Agatha to have her own series, but the show’s success and the character’s popularity changed their minds. What’s more exciting is that Agatha offers plenty of space for creative interpretation, allowing Kathryn Hahn to truly make the role her own. The fans were hooked during “WandaVision,” and I can’t wait to see where they take this fascinating character in her spinoff!
Livanos noted that Kathryn truly embodied the character of Agatha, which he believed sparked the extraordinary fan reaction towards Agatha in “WandaVision”. The credit, he said, goes to Hahn for her passion and love for the role. It’s thanks to her that we can explore Agatha further in “Agatha All Along” and continue her storyline.
Livanos explained that they wanted Agatha to appear in the show “WandaVision” as she plays an important role in Wanda’s past. However, Agatha is not well-known from the comics, so it was crucial to find the ideal actress for this character. By chance, Kathryn Hahn was already meeting with Louis D’Esposito and was invited to join the cast of “WandaVision” spontaneously.
