As a seasoned Marvel fan who’s been on this wild rollercoaster ride since the early days of Iron Man, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement as we approach the premiere of “Agatha All Along.” The latest poster reveal has sent fans into a frenzy, with theories swirling around like the uncontainable chaos magic of Wanda Maximoff herself.

The latest posters for “Agatha All Along” subtly reveal the real identity of the enigmatic “Teen” character portrayed by the popular star from “Heartstopper,” Joe Locke. In all the promotional content for the Disney+ series, this mystery figure has been referred to simply as “Teen.” The new poster shows him in ’80s attire, sneaking around a corner with a flashlight. Previous teasers hinted at his distinctive color scheme. However, the new poster confirms the use of Wiccan-inspired color blocking in his costume.

In the popular series, Billy Kaplan, son of Wanda Maximoff, is widely believed to be the character portrayed by Locke on screen. You may recall that Billy was last seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a much younger boy under the watch of Elizabeth Olsen’s Avenger character in Westview. At the finale of WandaVision, both Billy and his brother were erased from existence due to their connection to Wanda’s magical abilities. Interestingly, an earlier Halloween-themed episode on Disney+ featured Billy dressed up as a superhero in colors and a headband remarkably similar to his alter-ego, Wiccan, suggesting Marvel is heavily referencing this character.

ComicBook managed to grab a moment to query Locke about his character being referred to as “Teen” and whether it’s been challenging to maintain secrets related to Agatha All Along. The actor clarified that the name “Teen” appeared in all of the scripts, and this was the moniker used for him on set. Moreover, he hinted at additional surprises within the series that he is eager to share with others once they’ve been revealed. You can find his comments here.

Locke said, “The character is truly integral to the series, and when people started asking about my identity, I replied, ‘Absolutely not! I assure you, it’s really him.’

Locke explained, “It can be annoying at times because I want to discuss all the fantastic elements of the series, yet these incredible aspects are only impressive when the secrets remain unspoiled until their intended reveal.” In other words, “The surprises, the plot twists, and the unexpected turns have more impact if we wait for them.

Fans Are Still Waiting On Mephisto Now

In a sneak peek for “Agatha All Along” on Disney+, it hinted at the inclusion of the Darkhold, suggesting a return to Mephisto-related themes similar to “WandaVision”. However, it turns out that Marvel’s team didn’t intend for the demon to surface during Wanda’s series. But given the enthusiastic fan theories online about Mephisto, it seems unlikely that he won’t show up in this new series.

Mary Livanos, a producer at Marvel Studios, had a chat with ComicBook and shared her experiences watching the excitement for WandaVision grow within the studio. Some of the fan theories took them by surprise, and there’s speculation about characters like Mephisto. “I can tell you that we were all thrilled by the fan theories surrounding WandaVision, some even caught us off guard ourselves,” Livanos revealed. “So, of course, as always, fans will need to tune in to discover more, and unfortunately, that’s all I’m allowed to say on the matter.

Just like how the Internet community became deeply invested in “WandaVision” in 2021, Marvel Studios is hoping for the same level of engagement with “Agatha All Along”. While the producer didn’t explicitly mention it, there could be rewards for ongoing storylines in “Agatha All Along”. The revelation of Billy’s true identity is just one piece of a larger puzzle. Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Wanda Maximoff. Furthermore, introducing Mephisto before “Ironheart” would help maintain continuity within the Marvel Universe. We’re almost there, ready to delve back into Westview to solve these lingering mysteries.
