As a seasoned veteran of the Age of Mythology battlefield, I can confidently say that this Oranos build guide is nothing short of divine! Having spent countless hours mastering the art of Atlantean strategy, I can attest to the efficiency and effectiveness of this build order.
The sky deity Oranos from Atlantis is a delightful character to engage in battles, and he proves to be incredibly powerful when utilized strategically. At present, the optimal Oranos setup ensures a reliable transition into the Classical era within approximately 3 minutes.
In this tutorial, let’s explore the most efficient Oranos build sequence in the revamped version of Age of Mythology. Adhering to this optimal strategy can help you swiftly navigate the early stages, paving the way for future victories.
Oranos & Kronos Build Order Guide
Immediately upon joining the game, dispatch your first inhabitant directly towards Food collection areas. Since most constructions in Age of Mythology necessitate a large quantity of Food, including the Oranos build, it’s crucial to gather as much Food as possible right from the start. Advancing to the Classical Age from the Archaic Age will consume a significant amount of Food, so ensure that you always have at least one citizen assigned to Food gathering.
The second and third individuals you select should head towards Gold and Wood respectively. At the same time, use your seers to explore the surrounding region. This will help you stay informed about your opponent’s actions and simultaneously earn Favor. All subsequent citizens after the initial three should proceed directly to Food.
In the Archaic Age, only citizens can be called upon, but Atlantean citizens occupy two population slots instead of one. Therefore, when you summon five citizens, remember to construct a Manor as well. You may assign your gold-gathering citizen to build the Manor. Once the construction is finished, place the citizen who built it back on their gold farming duties.
Advancing to the Classical Age
After constructing the Manor, your next architectural project should be the Temple. To move forward into the Classical Age swiftly, it’s crucial to have a Temple in place, as it’s essential for making this transition.
To erect a Temple, you’ll need 150 Gold and 150 Wood. Once you reach 150 Gold, switch the single gold-gathering citizen to wood collection. Now, you should have two citizens focusing on wood gathering. Keep them at it until you amass 150 Wood. After that, you can start constructing the Temple. It would be beneficial to build the Temple near where your citizen is for time efficiency. Keep in mind that your citizens are slower compared to the villagers of other civilizations.
Once the temple construction is finished, simply click on the Town Hall to progress into the Classical Era. During this transition, you’re free to pick any minor deity as your patron, though the choice may vary between different games. Advancing will require 400 Food resources, a sum that you should comfortably have since most of your townsfolk are engaged in food production.
Classical Age
In the Classical Era, since the demand for food decreases compared to previous times, you might want to adjust your citizen roles accordingly. Ideally, this setup could involve assigning 3 citizens to work on Food production, 4 to work on Wood gathering, and 2 to work on Gold mining.
In the Classical Era, start by constructing three buildings: a Manor, a Barracks, and a Counter Barracks in this order. Initially, assign one of your wood-gathering villagers to erect the Manor. Once it’s finished, have the same villager proceed with building the Barracks. Meanwhile, while the first villager is busy constructing the Barracks, take another wood-gathering citizen and task them with building the Counter Barracks.
After both structures are fully constructed, consider crafting your army strategy. Remember, the composition of your army depends on your adversary and your preferred playstyle. Thus, tailor your army for each game accordingly.
So, there you have it, an ideal Oranos and Kronos build order that should get you to the Classical Age in no time at all. It’s obviously pretty hard to make this advancement in under 3 minutes if you are not used to the build. That means t’s always best to practice and get used to it. Mastering this specific build will help you make the advancement to the Classical Age in about 2 minutes 30 seconds.
