AI Rip Off of Popular Xbox Game Appears on PS Store

It seemed, for a short while today, that a dedicated PlayStation 5 trophy collector might have stumbled upon hints of a Microsoft Flight Simulator adaptation. A fresh Trophy list, identified as “Flight Simulator 2025”, was detected by PSN Profiles, leading enthusiasts of the much-discussed Xbox port to presume that the PlayStation 5 version was imminent.

It’s possible that Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo, and Gears of War could potentially appear on the PlayStation 5 by the end of this year, according to some reliable predictions. Unfortunately, the Trophy list that surfaced turned out to be another instance of the AI-generated games like “Eslop” that have been flooding the PlayStation Store for quite some time now.

2025’s Flight Simulator, available on PlayStation Store, seems to have misrepresented its developer – Grizzly Games Limited. However, in a clarification to Eurogamer, Paul Schnepf, one of the two developers at Grizzly Games, stated that their name and logo were being used without authorization in the listing’s details.

Additionally, it appears they embody values completely opposite to ours, values we strive to uphold and share with our gaming community. Sadly, as a small two-person indie team, our legal resources are limited, but I can’t help but wish for a stop to such practices. It’s disheartening that this isn’t just happening to us, but to numerous other indie developers who lack the same legal muscle.

It seems that Flight Simulator 2025, which was recently added to the PlayStation Store, may have been uploaded by a company posing as another. Eurogamer did some investigative work before Schnepf’s statement and discovered a website named Grizzly-Games.com filled with AI-generated mobile games. However, the links provided on this site do not lead anywhere. It’s plausible that the listing could originate from this questionable source instead of the genuine Grizzly Games, known for producing Thronefall for both Nintendo Switch and PC.

It seems that last month, Sony may have removed some AI-generated games from their digital store. However, the recent addition of Flight Simulator 2025 featuring AI art and allegedly uploaded by a company pretending to be someone else indicates that this issue continues to persist.
