Aimee Lou Wood is educating the public about this vulnerable moment.
A few days after the actress from “The White Lotus” criticized Saturday Night Live for their portrayal of her in the sketch titled “The White Potus”, she made it clear that her tears in London on April 14, which were spent with friend Ralph Davis, had no connection to the television show.
Aimee posted on her Instagram Story on April 15th, clarifying that she wasn’t shedding tears over what the newspapers suggested. Instead, it was something entirely separate that had caused her to cry.
Her remark followed a wave of encouragement she’s been getting since Saturday Night Live poked fun at her teeth, an aspect Aimee had previously mentioned being bullied about in her childhood, with cast member Sarah Sherman sporting false teeth during the HBO series spoof on April 12.
Stars such as Jameela Jamil, Cara Delevingne, and Georgia May Jagger were part of those who supported the 31-year-old when she criticized the sketch as “unkind” and “not funny.
In a post on her Instagram Story, Jameela commented that Aimee’s smile was the least captivating aspect of this exceptional actor. She went on to describe Aimee as our next “Olivia Colman” due to her being funny, insightful, open about her emotions, and radiating endless loveability.
The Good Place actress elaborated by saying, “We mock the integration of women, yet we excessively fixate on anyone who deviates slightly from the arbitrary beauty norms that have come to define our society, as women, shaping and being shaped by these standards.
Aimee’s nearest and dearest didn’t hesitate to share their thoughts about the segment, with her mother Alison Daly expressing on her Instagram Story that “the world can be cruel, and it’s particularly challenging to comprehend when you’re not yourself a cruel person.
My exceptionally gifted, stunningly kind-hearted daughter, who possesses not an ounce of meanness within her, had the courage to criticize Saturday Night Live. It’s disgraceful to be cruel and to bully, whether it’s face-to-face or in a weak, pitiful sketch.” She emphasized this point further.
Emily Wood, the actress from Sex Education, was praised by her own sister with heartfelt words. Her sister referred to her as a remarkable individual, using the term “powerhouse” to describe her strength and impact.
She continued, “My respect for her is extraordinary, almost indescribable. It’s akin to the intense, instinctive care I feel for her, like a powerful bond between kindred spirits. She is an exceptional big sister, my most valued friend on earth. Her authenticity and uniqueness are unmatched.
For Aimee, she expressed that the sketch was “excessively exaggerating” the portrayal of other characters for a parody, while she was the one being unduly diminished.
She posted on her Instagram Story, “I don’t get easily offended,” she said. “I enjoy a well-played, friendly prank. However, the jest was about fluoride. My wide smile gaps aren’t due to poor dental hygiene but rather natural characteristics.
After sharing her thoughts on the sketch, Aimee, who made it clear that she doesn’t hold Sarah responsible for her representation, disclosed that she has received apologies from Saturday Night Live.

How do you feel about that? The artist famously known as Lisa transitioned from being a global sensation as part of K-pop group Blackpink, alongside Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé, to assuming the White Lotus staff attire for her first role as Mook.
It appears that, unlike in his Hogwarts days, Lucius Malfoy has unfortunately missed the train and ended up at The White Lotus resort instead. To clarify: Although he sports a new look without his signature luscious blond hair, the beloved actor from Harry Potter is back on our screens, assuming the role of another privileged patriarch – Timothy Ratliff, who is portrayed as a prosperous businessman enjoying a vacation with his wife and three children.
Additionally, Isaacs has recently been featured in television programs such as “Robot Chicken”, “The Great”, and “Sex Education”. Notably, he shared the screen with his “White Lotus” co-star Aimee Lou Wood.
Instead of shouting when you spot it, remember that Posey, who portrays Timothy’s wife Victoria Ratliff, might seem familiar due to her roles in films like “Superman Returns,” “Blade: Trinity,” “Scream 3,” and “Dazed and Confused.” She has also made guest appearances on television shows such as “Parks and Recreation,” “New Girl,” “Portlandia,” and “Search Party.
As a devoted rom-com enthusiast, I can’t help but reminisce about the unforgettable role she played in the 1998 masterpiece “You’ve Got Mail.” In that film, she charmed us all as Patricia Eden, the captivating girlfriend to none other than Tom Hanks’ character, Joe Fox.

Apart from recognizing her as Caroline Merteuil in the 2024 remake of “Cruel Intentions”, you might be familiar with her role as Catherine Allday Davis in Ryan Murphy’s cinematic universe, specifically from “Impeachment: American Crime Story” which delves into the Bill Clinton–Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Nivola, currently in a relationship with Iris Apatow, daughter of Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, joins the Ratliff family as the character Lochlan. However, prior to his Thailand adventure, he was part of another series revolving around a wealthy beach family: “The Perfect Couple”, where he portrayed Will Winbury, son of Greer and Tag Winbury, characters played by Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber respectively. Interestingly, he shared screen time with Meghann Fahy, a cast member from “White Lotus”, who previously appeared as Daphne Sullivan in the second season of HBO’s show and later portrayed Merritt Monaco on “The Perfect Couple”.
Apart from his role in “White Noise,” Nivola has also worked alongside Adam Driver, and he has been seen in “Maestro” with Bradley Cooper. Additionally, his film repertoire includes “With/In” where he acted alongside Anne Hathaway.

On the silver screen, she’s also made a mark, playing Julia in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Angie Genaro in Gone Baby Gone.

Besides acting in two movies directed by Quentin Tarantino (portraying Billy Crash in “Django Unchained” and Sheriff Chris Mannix in “The Hateful Eight”), he is also renowned for playing Boyd Crowder on the TV series “Justified” from 2010 to 2015.
In the third season, a free-spirited character named Chelsea, portrayed by an English actress, enters the cast. She engages in an age-gap relationship with Rick Hatchett, played by Goggins. However, she is most recognized for her role as Aimee Gibbs on Netflix’s hit series “Sex Education,” and has also made appearances in “Seize Them!” and “Daddy Issues.
